« on: April 26, 2005, 01:51:44 AM »
im looking to purchase new shoes and was thinking of purchasing either one. i just want to get a general idea based on everyone else's opinion of which one would they rather have based on performance, reliability, durability and which one would give you the most bang for your buck...thanks...

I really like my Dexter's.
I tried on a pair of ABS and they are like slippers.
The big problem is being lefthanded, I wanted the silver and black.
They are a special order so add another 6-8 weeks atleast.

i prefre ABS. this is because teh dexters i had fell apart in 4 months, and i didnt even bowl that often. when i replaced then i got the ABS shoes and ive had them for a while noe, almost 1 year, and never had a problem. I have the ones that only have replaceable soles because i never change heals. Good pair of shoes, and now they have new colors. Alos, the toe caps are great. protectthe tps from breaking, something dexters dont have.

Go down 4 threads and read. All good, if you are tough on shoes get Kangaroo leather if not all will suffice. Dexters weigh more than the ABS on your feet.

dexter sst 6's for a half a season last year, and had no complaints at all about them, until i realized that the right toe was practically falling off. prior to the dexters, i wore linds for about 2 years and never had that problem.  during my release, i slide my right toe across the approach. after tripping on them for about a month more, i decided to go with abs b/c of the REPLACEABLE toe cap. absolutely love them. no complaints whatsoever, comfortable, durable, breathable. love them.
