I had the Tour Ultras and really liked them but since switching to the SST8's I do not regret it at all, its all preference but I personally like my SST8's better.

3G tour ultra's. no doubt. made from kangaroo leather...more soft and supple than cowhide and stronger. top notch construction. with 6 soles and 6 heels you'll find the slide that's right for you. and don't forget great customer service from eric.

If you have wide feet the sst 7's come in a wide model and they have been fantastic for me.

However I will admit that nothing feels as soft as the kangaroo leather it just melts to you foot.

But the dexters are very comfortable as well and if you need wide they are the best to go with.

if you have wide feet you should have no problem with the 3G tour ultra's. i wear 10 1/2 EEEE in my new balance 622's and i've got plenty of room in my tour ultra's.

I've tried Dexter, Etonic, and 3G shoes. all of there high end models and they have there pros and cons.

With dexter you have the flexibilty of the widest range of soles and heels most widely available. Every proshop has there replace soles and heels.
There generally comfortable, and out of the box very good. Certain models are softer leathers and very good, but over time they change soften up too much and get too big.

Personally i think the best models from them are the SST5LX, I had 3 pairs, and the SST6 SE. the SE is made with a stiffer leather and that keeps your foot more stable and the ankle in a better position.

Etonics, are absolutely the best for a footbed. If you have trouble with high arches, planters foot or heel spurs you need to wear an etonic shoe and it will fix your problem. I've had a dozen customers use the e-classics and they have healed alot of ppl with foot problems. There only, and there only downside is there heals dont change. Etonics have the stiffest leathers in the shoe biz. They are the most durable. If you dont need a heel that is rippled or tacky and your the average bowler you should choose them for value.

3G are great for customer service and they come with all the right parts. But there only downside is there leathers are too soft, they start off great but they loosen up. The phrase i hear more often is that there described as slippers. But i dont want to bowl in a slipper i want to bowl in a ski boot. I want my foot to be stable and doesnt roll inside the shoe.

The only reason i see why dexter seems to get a black eye for customer service is because they sell so many pairs. You do the math and odds are someone is going to have a problem and it might slip through the cracks.

I have a pair of Dynaroos and a pair of Etonics.  Love the Dynaroo heels.  Have no need for slide soles but the heels make a big difference.  The Etonics are more comfortable.
