Title: Best Shoes
Post by: Blackphantom1985 on April 14, 2008, 02:58:54 AM
Im wondering what the best shoes are out there?? right now im just using the regular dexters no interchangable anything.. was wondering what the difference would be if i got a pair of ultra lights or something... And why does one need the interchangable soles and heels

You would need them if you're bowling in a variety of locations and you never know how the approaches are going to be. Also, it never hurts to have a fallback if your sole gets wet. I bought my Dynorooz to experiment. I use two different soles depending on need.

i might have to pick up a pair but which ones are the best?  I hear things like the velcro wears out and the heels or soles fall of and dont hold on well

Never had a velcro problem, but I don't switch often either. I think it's really preference as to which shoe you get. I love my Dynorooz/3Gs, but Dexter are great, too. Just take care of them no matter which you choose.

is there a big difference between the tour ultra's and the sport besides the 60 dollar price tag?  I mean how many soles and heels would you possibly need

The biggest difference is the upper; the Tour Ultras are kangaroo leather and butter soft, and I think you get a few mores soles and heels. Otherwise, no real difference. You can buy what the Sport Ultras don't have afterwards. I if you don't bowl at many different houses, go with the Sports and accessories later.

Go with the Tour Ultras then. Even with the extra money, I think you'll like them.

Do you have issues regularly with the shoes you currently have?  I have shoes with interchangable soles & heels and have not had a different sole or heel on my shoe since I bought them.  I bowl in plenty of different houses without issue.  If you are currently not having issues you may not need all of the heels and soles.
