"Mirlon Total" pads better for dry sanding??
« on: February 11, 2017, 01:34:23 AM »
I saw Turbo advertises their Mirlon Total pads are better than other pads for dry sanding.  Anyone have experience using those pads in place of Abralon / Siaar?

I LOVE my Mirlon Total pads and think they are great. They are better than Mirlon, but thinner. They don't last long per pad, but with 25 pads for $20, and cutting the 9 inch pad in half, it's not a bad investment at all to keep a nice fresh surface for sanding instead of wondering if your Sia/Abralon pad is still putting out the same grit.

The MT 360 pad is REALLY aggressive when used for dry sanding. First time I used it I thought it was maybe too much, but no... it all worked out. I just wished they made a few more grits...
I haven't used the sandbagger (I do it by hand) but I can vouch for the pad. I keep a 1500 pad in the bag for touch up all the time.
