"#9"slide sole
« on: October 12, 2021, 11:51:20 AM »
Dexter has a #9 sole where they combine a #8 and a #10. Has anyone ever tried making one themselves by cutting a 8  and a 10 in half and putting them on ? Which do you put in front ?

I have a Dexter "9" slide sole that I cut to fit some 3G Tour Ultras, and the "10" section or piece which offers the most slide goes to the front of the shoe.

I also modify some 3G soles, cut them in half and use the slickest one in the front, and always go to a reduction in slide towards the heel.

I also use the 9 sliding sole from dexter.  I have used them both ways, with the 8 in front, 10 in back and the reverse.

which you should do is your choice. the 10 in front seems to be the intended use for it.

never tried to make my own; but it seems doable

Perfect video explaining how to go about it.

It’s with 3G shoes but works the same with Dexter’s.

Hope it helps.

So, tonight I did the half and half sole on my Brunswick shoes. Did half a #10 sole in front and half a #8 in back and it worked perfectly.

Saves you a fortune with the price of soles nowadays.

Glad you got them to work.

Our approaches have been super tacky at the end of summer league into fall league. My #8 sole didn't slide enough and the #10 made it feel like ice. I did this using older soles and its a lot cheaper than the $28 Dexter #9.
