Title: Dexter #8 sole vs 3G soles
Post by: jodyk24 on August 24, 2011, 08:24:06 AM: I have used the Dexter leather #8 sole for several years. Dexter at this point has decided to phase out the leather and replace it with the #8 white one. The white sole sometimes slides a little more than I like, so I am not to crazy about it. Has anyone tried either the chrome leather or deer skin from 3G and able to compare the slide to the Dexter #8 leather.

Thanks for the reply. I also noticed that sole the other day while looking to see if anybody had the leather Dexter soles left. At the time I was not sure if the new sole even had the right Velcro match up, not a lot in the description.

Post by: vkowalski1970 on August 31, 2011, 06:22:26 AM: I changed mid year last season from SST8 to Tour Ultras. The deer skin is great and very similar to the #8 slide. Having the cleets is also a great thing when you get to those sticky approaches! The Dexters were never good on tough approaches!!
I will say I truly prefer the 3G's over the Dexters!!!!
