Post by: tberk35 on November 04, 2004, 02:00:43 PM
Any ideas that you have used to
get any of the rubber heels to break
in fast?? The new ones are real grabby
to start with.

i use the #5 smooth, flat rubber heel---not the #5 rubber horseshoe heel. when i get/need a new one i always file down the edges with some very fine sandpaper. i also sand the entire heel as well. it seems the rubber on the new heel is very tacky. sanding it very fine helped me a great deal.

When I talked to the Dexter rep, he said to rub the heel under the ball returns(to gather some dust on the heel)and then lightly sand them around the edges to wear them down.

I've found that the RESET button is the easiest way to knock down ten pins.
