Difference between Blue H5 and Tri-Dex heels?
« on: December 22, 2006, 05:14:14 AM »
Is there any difference in these two heels? also does anyone know what size heel i would need for a size 11 SST6? I emailed Dexter and they said Large but i've read on here where people say that then used a medium for a size 11 and it's still wide.

Also, i don't know if this helps but all my other heels say 11m on the back of them. I'm not sure if the M means Medium or not.

Thanks

I believe the M on your soles/heels that came with your shoes denotes that they were cut for the medium width sole.

A medium Tri-Dex is about 1/4" too wide on my size 9 SST 6 LX.  I opted not to trim it though.

The difference I have seen is that the standard H5 heel eventually became to grabby and I had to move to the H7 to keep my heel from stopping me too soon.  The H7 was too much slide for me, so I bought a Tri-Dex and have been quite happy.  It hasn't gotten too tacky yet, and I'm pretty sure it's seen more games than the original H5 did.

I use a medium on my 10 1/2, the tri-dex heel has a different piece of material at the front of the heel. It seems to allow me a little more gradual brake as I'm about to stop sliding.
