For me the bio skin is not slick at all.  It is actually tackier than my skin alone. I would highly recommend bio skin.  I use it every time I bowl.

I've been using the blue.  I have not tried the white.

What is the difference in feel and tackiness between the blue and white?

You might want to take a look at the NT-50 tape. If you have watched wes malott bowl, it is what he uses.

First make sure that you wash and dry your hands before you apply the tape.  It removes the oils and helps the tape stick better.  I wrap the tape all the way around my finger so it overlaps a little bit.  I have never had a problem with it staying put, when i do both those things.

BAnnachB- what tape do you use? as for thoughts on it, i am looking for people who have used it. I have seen wes bowl on tv with it, but that doesnt tell me anything about how it effects release etc.

I use the bio-skin pro (blue).  My fingers have a major problem with cracking so I use this to protect from that, and it works great.  As far as effect on release I have not noticed any difference.  I don't feel like I generate more revs, nor do I feel like I lost revs.  I have always been a high rev player so I may not notice an increase in revs. My fingers seem to come out just as clean as without the tape on.  The biggest thing for me was stopping my skin from cracking open and bleeding.  I obviously had to increase my finger grip by one size to account for the tape, but this was not a big deal.  I hope this helps.
