Title: Gap between S4 and S6 Dexter soles?
Post by: JS on August 31, 2010, 12:48:57 PM
One of the houses I bowl at had their wood approaches screened/sanded about 2+ weeks ago.  The day after they did them the approaches were like ice.  I could bowl with my street shoes, that's how slippery they were.  Two weeks later and they are still on the slippery side.  I bowled the other night and had a new S6 sole with the holes on.  That was a little too slippery so I changed to an older S6 sole without the holes.  That was slightly better but still on the slippery side and I couldn't get good leverage to throw the ball well.  I put on an S4 sole and I couldn't slide my foot at all.  It just stuck in place.  As far as I know they don't make an S5 sole, do they?

I just found this thread.  JS, you have a custom made Bowlers Slide Sock Premier II model.  It is the only model made with hook and loop straps (velcro) and is designed specifically for interchangeable slide sole shoes.  You should be able extend the strap by adding an additional length of velcro to both sides.  You may contact Sandra@bowlersslidesock.com or call 1-866-323-7576 and ask her about solutions.  Most of the time we will replace the straps or send out a replacement unit depending on situations. We have shoes in the work shop up to size 20 that we work from when we do custom socks.  There is still a little guess work on some due to not being able to see the actual shoe the sock goes on.

Im wondering can you use 3G soles on Dexters? From previous posts Im assuming you can. I ask cause a local proshop has some leather squares from 3G to cut out soles and Im going to try it if they are usable. Thanks.
