Author Topic: 4-Ball Roller To Put In Smaller Cars? (Read 2628 times)

Does anyone own a 4-ball roller and have a smaller car that they put them it? I'm looking to getting one for next season to carry around since I'll be bowling in more than 1 league this time in two different houses that uses different lane patterns. Not too sure if it'll be more of a hassel to lug it out of my smaller car (Cavalier). I do like the fact that it has alot of compartments since I do have other stuff to put them in. Here's an example of the bag I'm looking for.

I thought about two other options since I'll have about 6-7 balls max by the fall (I already have an Ebonite 3-ball tote roller):

1. Get another 3 ball roller and get a joey or single ball bag

2. Get a two ball roller and a single/double bag

I usually take 3 (sometimes 4) balls to bowling each because the lane conditions varies every two weeks. Any suggestions?

You might want ot look at an inline 4 ball roller. I have the KR inline 4,5,6 option bag and it fits well int he trunk of my Dodge Avenger which is not what I would call a big car.

I have a Storm 4 ball Streamline bag and with the wife's 2 ball bag goes easy in the trunk of a Honda Accord,went this way, easier on the back because putting them in the trunk

Anybody seen those Smart cars? Where in the world would you put bowling balls or anything for that matter in that thing?

I have the bag that's on your link, the Storm Rolling Thunder 4 ball roller and it is awesome. I believe it is much easier to load and unload than a 3 or 4 ball in-line roller or a 3 ball with a joey. You can take it apart and load 2 balls at a time, and you can move the halves around to fit better in your trunk. A bag that is one solid bag is much heavier to carry as well, although it is more compact vertically. My son has a Roto-Grip 2 ball roller with a Joey and I have an easier time loading my 4 ball bag than his 3 ball bag.
The Rolling Thunder is also much more stable both when rolling it around and just standing it up. I suggest you get the 4 ball Rolling Thunder or one similar to that.

I would second the opinion on a Rolling Thunder. I have one and it is great. Very durable and sturdy. I have a Toyota Corolla, and I can fit 11 balls in the trunk (Rolling Thunder four ball bag, three ball tote, two ball roller, and two ball tote).

I use 2 Roto 3 ball rolling totes and a 2 ball carry tote. Can fit all three into the trunk of my wifes convertilble VW Beetle or the Shelby GT500.

try getting a storm streamline 3 ball bag, add a joey bag, and two bowling balls fit in the gigantic shoe compartment. So, spend 90 on the 3 ball bag, 10 for a joey, and just fit two balls in the giant pocket, and you have a slim, sturdy, 6 ball bag, that's what i use to transport equipment now adays

Thanks for the all the responses about the bags! I'm going to look to either getting the 4-ball Streamline, Rolling Thunder or the newer Track 4-ball roller. I got a total of 3 bags in my closet (Ebonite 3-ball tote I just bought, KR Strikeforce 3-ball with joey, and my crappy Columbia 2-ball tote), so I'm trying my best to eliminate room in my closet to knock it down to just two bags.

I have the streamline and as much as it hurts me to say this I have a 73 mustang which during the summer Ive had to use a few times and I have had to stuff my 4 ball streamliner,(2) 2 ball totes, 2 ball roller(streamliner), and 2 singles was a VERY tight fit but does fit.
