Title: griips glove
Post by: Foster on August 31, 2012, 11:12:20 AM
Here is the deal. I asked about this glove 2 weeks ago because I have tried it and was also considering having my finger holes enlarged on another ball to accomodate it. I received 1 good response from brad and the rest of the posts are people who have issues with each other, so the topic is removed.
If anyone who has actually tried this glove has feedback good or bad I would like to know. If not, you can choose someone elses topic to argue your points.
Feedback, by those who have actually tried it would be appreciated.

You could also PM Duke Harding, I know he was experimenting with the glove for a while last season.

if that's the case, sounds like your thumb isn't fitted right and you are grabbing it.

See thats what I've thought for a while but my pro shop guy says it was fine. Time to go see someone else and get this done.

Perhaps you just need some tape, I have my thumb holes drilled big because my thumb swells a great deal.

Perhaps you are right. When I put tape in it felt a little better. I'm 50/50 on it. I only bowled 2 or 3 games with tape so we shall see.

I like my thumb holes snug. I hate any slop. I'd just have it plugged and re-drilled at a different shop.

I saw a guy in league last night using this glove or I think it was this glove. Never seen anything like it before. Guy was using it with a Gemstone ball which I had never heard of either. The glove looked very odd but this guy swore by its comfort and performance. Who knows more about this glove?

I have seen one good post about the glove in the past.  It seems, they take a little getting used to (3-10 games), then they are good until they wear out.  They don't seem to last much longer than a pair of inserts, so then cost becomes an issue.  Grips are about $10 a pair and the glove is about $40 a pair.

use mine and wear under wrist guard, really depends on what you want the glove for, in my case after 50 years of bowling fingers have developed arthritus and the the insert. built into the glove takes a lot of pressure off of them. Like wrist guards, they are, imo, an aid, not a cure all but at least I can still enjoy the sport.

I have a lot of equipment and had to take the regular inserts out of all it but it you like to put a lot of hand into the ball, the grips glove can be a good investment for the rev challenged. good luck.

I just posted about this topic but does not look like anybody has replied that used it. Could it be used together with thumb slug? It looks like it could if I took my inserts out but could keep my slug.

I'm looking for anything that might help my game. Maybe should just practice more.
