help for women's shoes
« on: August 13, 2019, 07:40:16 PM »
Hello,

I am French and I use google for the translation so sorry for the mistakes.

I'm looking for a new pair of shoes, knowing that I'm losing the toes of the shoe that does not slip.
The sole of my current pair takes off ....
I would like a pair that I can keep a long time.
The stores that sell bowling accessories in France are rare and have little choice especially for women.

Thank you for your help ^^

To make things a little easier, I would also recommend finding your size in men's shoes also.  Availability and options tend to be better with men's shoes than women's.

What is best depends on the level of performance you are looking for.  Dexter is probably the largest brand with the largest array of options.

I think my feet are too small to find the match in men (6 1/2 in women).
One pair and you better than another knowing that I slip on the toes?

You could try a online store, like bowlingindex.com they ship internationally.
To get the right size of your shoes google shoe size chart .
You should try to find a pair with interchangeable soles on both shoes, then you can replace the sole on the right foot, if it gets broken again. ( if you are right handed )
Hope this helps  :)

thanks for the site address, but the shipping costs for me are $ 100 ..

the bowling remains a confidential sport in France, it is not obvious to equip itself.

You can check Ebay.  Follow this adress:

https://www.ebay.com/sch/Women/159107/m.html?item=352743695453&epid=20005580668&hash=item522129a45d%3Am%3AmVvHlE8CwDfY-iqjgSrQliw&_ssn=palacage

(Copy and paste the adress in the browser)

This is only one of many sellers that offers bowling
equipment to a affordable price and uses ebays own global shipping program.
It is much cheaper than USPS.
I live in Norway ( Europe) and I pay 33 dollar for one bowling ball shipped with the the global shipping program.

Hope you find your new shoes there :)

Hopk, I think something is being lost in the Google translation.  What do you mean by 'slip on the toes'?  I noticed something similar in your original post but thought you meant the shoe was torn when you said 'losing the toes'.

Are you saying that your non-sliding foot sole is the same as your sliding foot sole and is too slippery (not rubber)?  Like rental shoes?

In your original post 'The sole of my current pair takes off ....' I thought first meant interchangeable soles but now suspect you mean that you are losing traction.  If so, you need to get a dedicated pair of RH or LH shoes, not a generic pair that can be used by either RH or LH bowlers.  A dedicated pair will have only one sliding sole/foot and the other will be rubber for traction or gripping the approach.

I have noticed that some of the cheaper bowling shoes will be of the generic variety so you may have to get a good pair of mid-priced shoes or the upper level with interchangeable soles.

If I am mis-understanding your post, just ignore this.  Not sure how it will Google back to you.  : )

Hopk,

Any chance of you posting a picture of your current shoes?  The picture can show what Google translator might be losing in the translation.

There is an online bowling equipment shop in Europe https://www.bowlingshopeurope.eu/en/

They claim to ship to France for 15.99 Euro.  Might be worth looking in to as they list all of the popular women's bowling shoes on their site.

I thank you for all these answers ^^

So I have right handed shoe, I made pictures to show you the debates.
I do not know if they are male or female shoes (this is an old stock of my bowling). But I am disappointed she is barely 2 years old and we serve for a league a week. I would really like something stronger.
On the right shoe that does not slip we can see that the sole that takes off completely and especially from the inside because I slide on this side of the shoe.
And even my left shoe and damaged is really not good quality.

Oh yes, the separating toe problem.  This is common with bowling shoes.  Dexter makes a shoe called The 9 that helps to prevent this issue by incorporating the toe cap as part of the interchangeable slide sole on the slide foot.  When you replace/change the sole, a toe cap is incorporated into the sole.  Might be something to consider.  The shoes, however, are expensive and depending how frequently you bowl may not last more than a couple of years.
