Title: Question about my new Tour Ultras
Post by: Frederick on January 10, 2007, 04:30:29 AM
I just received my Tour Ultras and there not as comfortable as I thought they would be, but as with any new shoes I guess I have to give them time to break in. I do however have a couple stupid questions. What are the 21 cleats used for? What is the little metal thing that says ABS used for?

The cleats are to be used with the red sole with all the holes in it. Basically it is the most intricate slide because you can add stop or slide to just one section of the foot...like for instance, your big toe area seems to stick, you throw a slicker cleat onto that spot and your slide should be good.

The metal thing is a Cleat picker, allows you to pick the cleat out of the sole and replace it.

And yes they will get more comfortable. Give it a few days.

The metal cleat pick is also useful for extracting the normal soles.  That velcro is sticky stuff.

I can't imagine that you think they're not as comfortable as you thought they would be. While not having tried Dexters and not knocking them, my ABS's are the most comfortable bowling shoe I've ever worn. What type of feet do you have?

No, my name is not Prince and I'm not particularly funky.

I have long narrow skinny feet. I wear 11 1/2 to 12 depending on the shoe. I ordered 11 1/2's and at first I thought they might be too small but I'm sure they will stretch out.

I'm suprised they're not more comfortable to you off the bat. Mine feel like I'm wearing slippers and if I could get a pair of street shoes that were anything else like these...man....
