Golf Gloves

I keep ripping up my ring finger, so I am going to try to use a golf glove with all the fingers left on, but with the thumb cut out. If anyone has had success with a particluar brand or style, any help would be great.

FootJoy is not a bad choice, but a little expensive.  I've had success with MasterGrip (go to mggolf.com).  They have buy one get one free.  I've also found that they last longer when you have "vacu-style" grips.  Just my 2 cents.  Good luck.

On edit:  I did get some good advice from Jeff Carter in another forum topic addressing this question. To paraphrase: "you should try to go at least one size smaller than you actual size for a tight, second-skin feel".  For me, I normally wear medium but I utilize a small golf glove.

i've used footjoy's for 15 yrs. i prefer the soft-joy which has some geniune leather on it. i agree w/ the smaller size and i also use vacu-grips. good luck

Golf gloves and bowling? They must fit pretty tight in order to get into the plugs no?

I decided to try the weather soft by foot joy and so far it hasn't been too bad. I will know a lot more after this weekend as I have plans to bowl a few times in a couple of tournaments and do some practice. When you cut the thumb off, do you sow the inside to protect it from ripping more, I am a horrible cutter.

Shermanator, I went three sizes bigger in my grips and that feels pretty good.

These gloves are the best for me. Mizuno. I bought a pack of 3 for $17.00 on ebay some time ago.

Since some have just one stitch line on the side of the thumb I just put a piece of the thin silk patch tape around the thumb and bowl with the glove without cutting any fingers or thumb holes on the glove.

Just look at the golf gloves and see how the thumb is finished. With single or double stitches on the side of the thumb.
