Slide shoe replacement question on a "no change" shoe
« on: September 24, 2008, 07:26:24 AM »
Hi folks!

I have a pair of Etonic Stabilite.

Sadly the sliding sole is getting worn and torn... so... the question is:

Take the shoe to a cobbler and have it replaced?
End if what sliding sole to have glued there?
What sliding sole is as closest to Etonic "Perfect Slide tm" ... ok I know... it IS "Perfect slide".
So can I get that sole as a replacement for my shoes... cause I like them but see no point buying a new pair just for that worn sliding sole.

Thanks

cya

I'd take them to a shoemaker and ask what you could do at all. I had to repair my fisrt pair of shoes (Brunswick Phantoms, I think) and the shoemaker laughed at me because of the flimsy material quality on these shoes which make them hard to repair.
Anyway, to ensure a safe hold of a replacement sole and an even sole, I'd still consult a shoemaker. They might also have a good replacement material at hand for the new sole.

iF YOU REALLY WANT TO MAKE THEM A BETTER SHOE. Take them to a shoe shop and have them put velcro on the bottom that will hold onto the Dexter soles. You may want to buy the velcro yourself. Me and a couple of other friends have done this before and it works great!!!!

The easy answer would be SLSM Designs Bowlers Slide Sock.  It gives the best slide possible on any condition.  Check the website for details.  I wear Etonic ESL Classic Blacks and mine are about 4 years old or so maybe older.
