Been a casual bowler for years started bowling in a couple of leagues last year and my old Dexter's are wearing out at the toes. I plan on bowling at least 9 games a week and would like to start trying tournaments as well. My ? is Are the sst8 or a similar price point shoe worth the investment? I have noticed my footing being kinda strange on some of my bad shots ie slip at push of, no slide too much slide. Expert opinions and advise appreciated.

I'm no expert, but the 3G Tour Ultras are hands-down the best shoe on the market. For a little less money, the Sport Ultras and the Shufflers are very good.
I've got a pair of Tour Ultras that are about four years old and they've held up extremely well.
