Hmmm, I'm just wondering if the SST 5s are similar to SST 6s. I'm not sure which to buy now. The SST 6s cost S$250 while SST 5s cost S$150, and the prices are quite different. So, if the SST 5s are similar to the 6s, then I might get the 5s.

I just want to hear from you guys who aim them. Probably a review. Thanks in advance for any input. I appreciate it.

The 6s are wider and more stable. They also includes more soles and heels (4 af each). I know Buddiesproshop.com is offering them for around 110$.

i feel they are more stable on the approach, because of the wider soles

Oh... I see. Well, I'm still schooling, so S$100 is quite a huge sum of money to me.

Other than the wider soles, does the durability differ much?

If you are playing alot it is known that the toecap on the rigth shoe (for righties)is less durable than the ABS shoes (Dynarooz). The 5s and 6s are both made of the same material.

There are SST6 clones out there that are around $100 US and work fairly well.  Dreamroads come to mind.  They use the same soles and heals as the Dexters.  Almost an exact copy of the original SST6.  They may be more affordable where you are at.

I prefer the SST5 style shoe because the SST6 shoes are very wide in the shoe area.  My feet are not that wide and I need two pair of socks for a comfortable fit.  I do like the extra heel/sole combo's with the 6's but i rarely use more than two each anyway.  As far as being stable on the approach??? I personally have never fell over because of my narrow shoe width.  Perhaps "OTHER FACTORS" are contributing to bowlers lack of balance?? LOLOLOL

What currency are you referring to with this S$100.00 I am assuming overseas from the US but don't know where.  Could you buy them here and ship there for less?  Like everyone said SST6 come with more soles and heels but the same are available for both shoes and odds are the extra soles/heels you won't use anyway certain numbers never get used.  The SST6 are considerably wider and if your looking for extra balance like me they are the way to go.  Other than the width, comfort and durability from 5 to 6 is about teh same.
