See-Through a problem?
« on: October 26, 2007, 02:19:20 AM »
I just got a Storm 2 ball delux tote, and while I'm wondering how in the world a size 15 is going to fit in there when I can barely get my size 12's in, what I'm really wondering about is how well the see-through back is going to hold up.  If it holds up, fine, but I'm nervous about the quality.  I wouldn't have gotten it, except I wasn't able to find very many bags that had a seperate place for shoes a side that was see-through.  I have a feeling that soon, there won't be any offerings at all.  Are we really that lazy that we can't be bothered to either remember what we packed, or heaven forbid, open the bag?

I know that for me, personally speaking, it is not a matter of laziness that keeps me from wanting to open the bag to find out which ball lies in which one, but of convenience. I bowl the large majority of tournaments in my area and have a multitude of equipment that I take with me. So having clear bags makes a great amount of difference because if i'm on lanes 17 & 18 and my equipment is on 3 & 4, I dont want to hold up the pace of play to go digging through my 5 bags to find the specific bowling ball I need for that particular moment.

I guess that makes sense and I understand why theres a market for them, but I'm still a little worried about how well it will hold up.  It sounds like you've gotten some use out of these types of bags.  I assume they aren't falling apart after a couple months of use.

I know my vise bag can hold them probably. I got it off ebay for real cheap.

I agree with the previous poster. The Vise tote will do the trick.I have several of them and have only had a problem with the carring strap, but only after a couple of years of rough service.

I assume you are talking about this bag?

I was also wondering about how that would hold up - I wouldn't think the transparent back would hold up as well as the regular 600 Denier Polyvinyl Fabric.
