Title: Storm Thunder Tape equivalent

I’ve been an avid user of the Storm Thunder Tape in the rolls, but they have been discontinued. Storm now has a Max Pro Thumb Tape, but it is only available in pieces. Anyone know of a close replacement for the Thunder Tape?

I migrated to using the Storm Thunder Tape from the Turbo branded tapes. I too prefer the rolls. I bought all the Thunder Tape I could get my hands on... but the day I will have to permanently switch is looming... 

Turbo "Driven to Bowl" is the most similar to the Storm Thunder tape that I've used.

If you find the texture of the driven to bowl tape to be a little bit too rough, The Turbo Beige Tape works well too.

Of all of the tape brands that I've tried, I find the Turbo stuff to be most consistent from roll to roll.

Stay away from the "generics"  The adhesive doesn't hold up.

Thanks! I did the same. Luckily my pro shop carried the last few rolls. I did buy some Black Driven To Bowl Turbo tape. I will do a comparison on feel to see if I can use it when my Thunder tape runs out.

If you're not stuck on using the rolls, I highly recommend Genesis with their Excel thumb tape. I started out using Vise Hada Patch and tried a couple others. I've never had an issue ever since I started using Genesis.

The main reason I use the rolls, is that I tape my entire thumb. I cut two pieces, 11 squares long and 13 squares long. I fold the pieces, then cut the corners. The shorter piece goes on my thumb on each side and the longer piece goes from front to back.

I went from Vise Hada Patch to Genesis as well....   Good stuff. I do get a bit of residue periodically, but no real issues.
