Okay....I'm looking for moral support here. Are Dexter SST7's worth the money? How do they fit and feel? How do the last?

I received my SST 7s in the mail yesterday (took only 2 days from Buddies Pro Shop) . YeahHoss is correct. The tip curves up and the sliding sole is moved forward, so if you stick, you must slide like a ballerina.
