Bought a Hammer 4 ball roller about a year or so ago. Love the color and the bag
but the handle is a piece of junk. I have replaced the handle 5 times now.
Hammer does send me new handles but it takes about 4 to 6 weeks
Well with a broken handle it is very hard to get to the alley and back home.
I need a new bag just need some input on the best bag out there
so I don't waste another $200.
Thinking about the Strom 4 bag roller
Need some help here PLEASE.........................

My vote goes to the Storm Rolling Thunder. I bought mine so many years ago that I can't remember when I bought it and I am still using it today.

Thanks for the reply. Looking at the Storm rolling thunder. What I did like about it
was the 3 wheels. The Hammer handle was always loose and would not lock in place
Sounds like you hadn't had any problems with the handle.....Good deal thanks

I had thought the Rolling Thunder was a good bag but over the past 3-5 years virtually every pull tab has broken off the zipper center tab. There's no way to put it back on; so I have to pull the zipper with my finger tips - very annoying and frustrating.. Except for that, it's fairly sturdy.

I just bought a Storm Rolling Thunder a few weeks ago and so far it seems like it's going to be a good bag. Lots of room, lots of pockets and I like the 3 wheels. And the handle seems very sturdy. Just wish there were a couple more color choices. Right now there are only 2, light blue and silver (the one I bought) and red/white.

KR Royal Flush!! My Rolling Thunder fell apart after one season.

K&R by far. Very durable!

I have a Storm Streamline 4 ball and lost just the pull tabs, I used a paper Clip for the pull tab and works fine

I've had my Storm Rolling Thunder for about a dozen years now with no problems. I love the three wheel design - I feel like it makes the bag both sturdier and more maneuverable than the 2-wheel bags 2+2 bags.

i think all rollers are garbage. ive seen so many storm hammer etc etc fall apart. i think triple totes are were its at.

i agree with the totes. only way ill buy bags until i physically cant haul them. the 4 ball bags are too big and bulky and just clog up any bowling area. people that bring them to tournaments and try to move them as they switch pairs are one of my pet peeves

I have the pull tabs. The little circle of metal holding the pull tab to the center tab of the zipper is what broke. There is no way to attach the pull tab, which is quite sturdy, to the zipper.

Might depend on how your center is laid out. A 4 ball roller is wide, but most people only bring the 4 balls. Just about everyone around here using totes brings two 3 ball rollers and fling them everywhere taking up tons of room. 4 ball rollers are somewhat difficult to navigate, but it's sure better than the person trying to move two 3 ball rollers (one with each arm) at once.
I recently replaced a 10 year old Rolling Thunder with another. The Hammer ones have tons of pockets, but I heard of a lot of handle issues. The KR ones might be sturdy, but look cheaply made to me. I haven't had any problems with my new RT after a half season.

I bought a Storm four ball roller with three wheels about ten years ago. I used it for about three Nationals tournaments (flying in and out) and it took some damage. One zipper tab torn off and another one bent, zipper ripped loose on one end of the bottom bag, the plastic buckle connecting the top to the bottom was broken, and a plastic tab on the back of the handle rack was broken off.
I think it would have lasted a long time if I had not flown with it. Just hauling it for state tournaments I have suffered no damage. For local bowling, I just use a tote.
