I want to get a new bag for my hubby for a christmas gift. Right now he's using an old, beat up, worn out 3 ball bag.
Who makes a good one these days?
What should I look for?
Is there anything I SHOULDN'T buy?
Thanks!

I'm very anti 3 ball roller. My dad had one and it just about killed him pulling it out of the trunk of his car. 4 ball rollers are the way to go. Oh my dad spent 6 weeks in the recliner because he couldn't get out of it, compressed disk.

I pretty much agree with Smash. I have a KR 3 ball roller that I almost never use. It's just too damn heavy to lift in and out of the trunk. Other than that, I like it a lot. It's very sturdy.
The only reason for a 3 ball roller is that it's easier to navigate the inline type around at a crowded tournament. I was at the PBA Geico Open this weekend, and all the guys had inline 3's. With the "passing lane" behind the seating area being only a foot and a half or so wide, you wouldn't have been able to get anything else through.

Yea, those 3 ball rollers are much heavier than the 4 ball ones?!?!?!?
The 4 ball models I've seen have two separate bags, so you're only lifting 2 balls at a time.

How about storage? Is there one that has more than another?
Is there a model to avoid?
He's using a 3 ball inline bag right now - it's an old beat up one of mine - and getting it in and out of the truck doesn't seem to be too much of a problem. The first of the triangle shaped ones were real bad - there was no handle on the bottom, so getting it in and out of the vehicle was a real nightmare.

Here's the one I have. I think it's a great bag, and Buddies has it for just over a C-note:

Very sturdy, and all the storage room you could want.
