Title: Whats better solid or oval inserts???
Post by: NINRH8R on March 01, 2006, 06:44:03 AM
Just curious what most of you guys are using.....do you have the solid/drilled out inserts?... or are you using the inserts that are sized to your thumbs depending on the shape of your thumb?...aka oval or round.

I have always used the sized/oval sized inserts because my thumb isn't perfectly round and i was just wondering what others are using as well.

I use pre-drilled ones (not solids).  Round.  I've got two pieces with ovals and they don't seem to feel quite as good.  It might just be the wrong size or alignment, but I don't like them.

It's a "feel thing". I've used both and I lean towards solids that are ovalled later. A good driller with good equipment should get it right. I had to go from round to oval due to an injury and was never picky about slugs versus sleeves, but I do like the cleaner release from the urethane solids more now.

Oh splendid! This calls for a sexy party!

I would say the solid urerhane over the sleeve for me it's a much cleaner release, had 2 balls w/sleeves and they seemed to be more tacky and I just could not get used to them, so I replaced them with slugs. I do agree with K-Dawg77 it's a feel thing,so whatever feel is best for you is what I'd use.
