Title: Ball Reviews Scratch Doubles - announcement
Post by: mumzie on August 09, 2007, 12:39:51 AM
Well, I guess it's that time again.

The rules and stuff from the last couple of years are here:
http://www.bowlersresourcecenter.com/scratchdoubles/rules.htm

League will start on 9/9 (sunday).
No reporting Thanksgiving week, or Christmas/New Years weeks.

The week of March 30-April 5 will be the last week. Does that work for everyone?

This means for everyone to bowl everyone once (plus position rounds), the league will be limited to 24 teams of 2.

My partner is Glen Hershberger.

Please do not sign up unless you are sincerely willing to post EVERY WEEK. If you're not willing and/or able to do this, please leave the spot for someone else. I will enforce the late posting rule this year, and will NOT chase after anyone for scores. I'll leave that to your partners, after they see the dreaded 160 blind posted for a week or two.
You receive that blind for 2 weeks, you'll be replaced.

More information will be coming - in the meantime, please sign up as a team or an individual. I use a proven random method of pairing up individuals, so let's go for it!!

When the 48 spots are filled, I'll start a standby list, since we always need one.

Well, unlike previous years, my Winter league situation is settled, and in all likelihood, I'll be bowling the entire season this time around.  So if you could put my hat in the ring, I'd be much obliged.

bass kept our team afloat while I had bicep tendonitis last season.  If I'm able to stay healthy, we should have another great season.  mumzie, thanks, in advance, for taking care of these duties once again.  To make it as easy on you as possible, please, keep her informed of your scores.  She's got plenty of other crap to do than track down scores for a website scratch league.  Help her out, ya' hear?

Rob,

Problem being that I am trying not bowl on any house walls this year.  Even though bass rolls at T & O.  H2Otown 18 ain't no boneyard for that matter either is Merrill's place.

I won't be offended if stone8 wants to bowl with you.  He's better than I am anyway....bass can attest to that.

Let me know if stone8 doesn't want to.

Xfest and MC are on the standby list - but don't go away - we'll probably need you right away, if previous years are any indication.
Any more signups will be for standby/replacement list.
WE don't use subs, but when someone doesn't report for 2 weeks, they are replaced.

Looks like it's me and nutsforbowling, so no cheesehead shootout bass. I would however be willing to place a friendly wager for a barley pop on the team results with you and 245 and up....I must warn you, though, I will be using my Monday night league at Hartbrook for scores, it's a 3 man league, they just resurfaced their lanes and one of my teammates is a lefty (Kevin Brown) .... so the scores could be quite large over at Walls-R-Us.
