Here we go. Back for another fun filled season but starting early this time.

Note to all Teachers out there. Yes it is a run on sentence with too many uses of the word and. It's all part of my strategy to make you wince reading my posts. Is it working ? Don't make me start ending sentences with prepositions !

We will begin Monday Sept. 1st and run scores on a Monday thru Sunday night basis. Scratch as usual.

Scores must be submitted in the thread each week by midnight this forum time (which I haven't a clue as to what time that is in real time) Sunday night for each week. No score submitted, or submitted late is a 0. Any exceptions granted better be a very inventive or a make me laugh funny excuse. All decisions of the moron running this event (that would be me) are final.  

This time instead of a losers bracket I'd like to do a real sweeper type eliminator. This will get people eliminated back in sooner.

Cut the field in half every week until we have 2 facing off for the win.
If we have say 31 people in. The 1st cut would be 15 people to get us down to a perfect 16 people.

If there is a number anything short of 64 bowling then 1st cut is down to 16 survivors. This keeps the cuts an easy half the field every week after that.
64 or more bowlers the cut is down to 32 after week one.

The winner of each eliminator gets 5 points.
Weekly high game and high series get 1 point each. You are eligible to get the game and series points even if you have been eliminated already.
This keeps everyone in for possible bonus points.

High point total after let's say 30 weeks is the overall winner.

Any suggestions or alternative ideas are welcome.

in a mixed league bowling with the wife.

Where are all the people I can actually out score for a week ? This sucks.

Young man getting eliminated the 1st week every time is no way to go thru life on a forum.
