Scott Scriver's Vegas Tournament
« on: May 14, 2006, 08:02:49 AM »
BElow is the link to the information regarding the Vegas tournament.  Vivian and I are planning to attend, since she loves toruneys; at a minimum, she we come to cheer me on.  I hope that many of us here can make it, and that we stay in touch so we will know how to contact each other.  It will be easy to spot me, as I should be the one bowler with ONLY Buzz Saws in my bag baby!!!

Sam's town is easy shot unless they actually layout something harder, i bowled there a few games about month ago and averaged about 214 for 5 games. I was using an agent and a big bang ball mainly swinging 4 th arrow which rare for me. I had no spare ball with me for 10 pins because the backends fly so much i would suggest plastic for shooting your same hand corner pins. It would have been in the 220's if i did not hook off a few every game, i think the place is the easiest in vegas.

I was considering going, but with all my travels so far this summer I am traveled out.  Maybe next time.  It would be nice to see Scott & Nicanor again.
I also have a small local tournament this weekend.

Nicanor or anyone who bowled this, how did it go?  Give us details, inquiring minds want to know

7 Handicap & 9 scratch bowlers was all?  It sounds like it was a bust from a marketing stand point.  They had payouts listed for 50 - 100 - 150 bowlers.  What a shame, they were hoping for this to be something big that might become marketable.

The tournament itself was a balst.  Being able to bet (no money just put a ticket in the jug that had the name you pick on top, tickets given before the start of the first game of the finals)and if the person you picked won the game, they would pick one ticket out of that jug and that person won a ball, three ball roller or a pair of bowling shoes.  Changed lanes every game and the side pots were $125 each. No I didn't win one, but my wife won two bowling balls.

It was great to see Scott and his family again also.
