Sign up here to join the winter Bowling Forum Doubles Tournament.  High and low averages are paired together to make evenly matched teams.  Scoring will be both scratch and handicap (80% of 220).  I will need your high book average from this past winter season (summer average is OK if that is all you have).  Last year’s average is used for the first week’s handicap and then discarded.  Your average (and handicap) will change every week based on the scores you turn in.  The week is Sunday to Saturday.  Please have all scores turned in by Tuesday.  If you can't bowl for some reason, a blind (average -10) will be assigned.  This is a fun tournament.  There is no fee, so all bowlers are welcome.  We’re playing for fun, so we’re all on the honor system.  Pick one league to use throughout the BFDT.  Don't just turn in your highest set of the week.  A second league or tournament score may be used if your primary league is not held (weather, illness, out of town…) for some reason.  Please contact me if you need to substitute for your main league.  Reply here or message me if you have any questions.

Please make this easy on me.

Give me your book average and what date you start.  Once I have a bunch of replies, we will decide on the starting date.  This will be your only chance.  I will replace bowlers as needed (Please don't sign up unless you are serious about posting every single week.  I hate blinds and so does your partner), but will not be adding teams very regularly.  If you have to miss a bunch of time (moving, injury...) please let me know so you can be replaced temporarily or permanently as needed.

I will answer all PM's but try to ask your questions here so I don't have to answer the same question multiple times.

A few more days to sign up before I match up teams.  Always need lower average bowlers to match up with the 220+ studs.  Don't be bashful.  Looks like everyone should be able to start 9/11 - 9/17.

Starting August 16th.

My average is 1 and Ragnar's average is 300. I guess that makes us partners huh ?
If you are really doing this the fair way use 217 for me. (Bastage).

Edit to add - I checked the ABC web site and my average last year was 217 not 216. Bummer.

I'll add you to the list of studs (gag, retch, blech...)

Hmmmmmmmmmmm, we need another ZMan (dial-a-washout)/Srider (gutter duster)  challenge.

It's not my fault you don't know how to pick out easy house shots that match up with your need of 3 arrows of area to miss wide right.  

Another signature bet works for me. Pick any week except the week of Aug. 22nd when I will be out of town and you are on.

Here's your next great signature.
"I'm just a gutter dusting hack that is envious of Zman and his collection of THS honor score rings."

Or maybe it will be,

"I lost to a mega fluffer named Zman and I didn't even get a lousy T-shirt."

Or maybe a simple,

"Zman owns me. He's the best dial-a-washout bowler I've never beaten."

Hmmmmmmmmmmm... The first two work for me.  Gutter dusting hack, check.  Lost to mega fluffer ZMan head to head, check.  Lose again, don't think so!  I have a ton of posts to read yet.  I'll have to come up with your new signature.

Good pickup on wotargarta ZMan.  He makes a comment, and hasn't even signed up for the BFDT yet.  The nerve!

Whoa, Whoa, how come I have to hit the head pin for it to count as a strike????  They all look the same on the scoreboard!

Count me in, 160 sounds about right for average but I'll just take a pin a year age difference in handicap instead.

First week I'll bowl is Sep 1st.  

Zman, whipped on by a drunk chick in OK.  At least I broke 500 down there.

OK, finally found when we start this year - it's on the 31st.  Book average was 197  (Where's the Puke emoticon when you need it?).
