Adjustments
« on: October 12, 2003, 02:37:38 AM »
When the lanes start drying up, I'll make a one board adjustment or a 2-1 adjustment. Usually that adjustments works but sometimes with those adjustments, my ball skids a little to far and hits low.  I then go back to my original board and increase my ball speed a bit, and that works.

Or sometimes I'll need to hit a little higher, so I'll either move right or slow my speed down.  but those don't work. so I go back to my original board and speed and I try cupping my wrist a little more to add a little more hook and that works.

i'm guessing some of my problems may be because i'm still a beginner and my muscle memory isn't quite there yet, and there might be inconsistencies from one delivery to another.  But, once I do develop that consistency, how do I know which adjustment I should make.  Basically, adjust stance versus change in speed versus change in wrist position.  Are there specific condition changes that calls for one adjustment over another.

Thanks in Advance for the tips.
