what ball are you using?...theres 1001 things you can do different?....if you throw the ball hard you need more revs to hook....the slower you throw the ball the less revs you need for it to hook...

Faster feet and height of where U hold Ur ball before U start to swing..

I go by the rule that if U want more speed, take a step back on the approach and walk faster.. If U have a free armswing and a stable upperbody, Ur swing and upperbody will follow the speed of Ur feet.. And if U start Ur ball higher in Ur stance, if U have a free swing, Ur shoulder will be Ur pendulum and the ball will swing nearly as high as U start it..

It also helps to think it.. When needing more speed, think fast, think fast cars, fast animals like a cheetah, fast music ex Heavy Metal, Techno ...whatever U think is fast..
The same goes for going slower.. Think slower, slower animals, slower music ex reggae, soul, maybe even some jazz..

Hope this helps.. Just my 2 cents..

Peace

If you try to throw the ball harder with your arm, yanking it forwards faster, it won't work.  Like mentioned before, you need to keep the swing in harmony with the feet.  Easiest way is to raise the ball higher in your stance, like shoulder level, but you must try to let the ball fall from gravity.  Anytime you start to muscle the ball bad things are invited to happen.  Starting back farther on the approach and taking bigger steps also helps.

Balance and timing are the two things that contribute to a great game.  You never sacrifice either to get speed or revs or anything else.
