I have been out of bowling for 27 years and am struggling to determine what ball to throw. I'm 64, throw at about 13-14mph, but was told I am speed dominant(I can't figure that out). I struggle to get the movement I want out of the ball. I am currently throwing a smack down on Brunswick house patterns. I realize part of this is probably my release but am looking for some suggestions either for a more aggressive ball or drilling pattern.Thanks. Currently pin just above and right of ring finger

Speed dominant refers to your ball speed overpowering your rev rate...

It's possible that the Smackdown is too strong for the condition you are on. The OOB surface is 2000 aralon and it is definitely a strong ball meant for the heavier side of medium unless you were to polish it.

The finish on the ball has a huge impact... instead of a new ball you could opt to have your ball refinished with a coarser grit. I know your ball isn't an Ebonite but you might find the first section of these drilling instructions interesting - it talks about how to pick the right cover finish for your ball based on how you bowl.

It would be cheaper to experiment with different finishes than to do the same with balls (but new balls are more fun -- sorry i don't have enough personal knowledge to help you there).
