I was told the ball only hits four pins after it follows through. Is this true and what pins are they?

The ball hits the 1 and 3 then hits the 5 into the 8 and the ball then hits the 9 for the right hander.

Hi Dsurfer, Yes, it is true. For a right hander, the ball hits the 1-3-5-9; with a "pocket shot".
