best way to warm up?
« on: January 05, 2006, 03:05:18 AM »
Our league had a month off, and we start up again tonight.

I was unable to get out over the holidays, so now feel all rusty.  What's the most effective way to warm up before your matches?

The only balls in my hands are Brunswicks.

Go to your center an hour early and bowl three or four practice games.  Start off slowly so you don't hurt yourself, work on corner pins, then on your strike ball.  --  JohnP

Before picking up any ball, I'd suggest doing some stretching exercises on both arms and legs, as well as some finger stretching. Just some minutes, but it helps getting loose and rid of the "rust" .
Doing some blind shots wiothout a ball on the approach or behind the settee area can also be helpful to get coordination back to normal.
