Learning the hook

I started bowling again 2 years ago. I avg high 150's. I've bowled a few 200 games but with no consistency.

I throw hard and fast. I want to learn how to throw a hook. I have a entry level ball and want to upgrade. The ball I have now is not made to hook.

So the input I'm looking for is ball recommendations(cost isn't an issue) for the way I bowl. Hard and fast.

I've read a lot of good reviews on the hammer Black widow, but I'm wondering if I should jump to that ball right away or possible learn how to hook with another ball.

I have tried to find a coach with  no luck. I watch a lot of the PBA tour and pick up things all the time. Practice makes perfect. I'm hooking the ball I have now on a consistant basis. It's time to try a new ball. No more entry level for me.

If I was starting over I would find a coach.  I know that it is fun to "do it yourself" - but there are a great many small things to be learned about this great game. Yes, you can get good on your own, but the time can be greatly shortened.  

Every bowling center has a group of high average bowlers.  Find one who makes it look as though bowling is the easiest thing in the world - ask him for help.  Most bowlers are generous and willing to offer points to work on even if they are not willing to take on regular students.
