I am finally starting to put together a decent arsenal of three balls. First of all I am a current 180 average league bowler with some tournament play but not much yet. My local house has guardian lanes in the heads and wood for the rest. I have a low track medium speed I guess around 15.5 mph. My current set is the following:
Virtual Gravity
Hy-Road
Lights Out
I am just wondering if a weaker ball is needed when I am lanes where it becomes dry, many times these balls seem to be to much for the condition. These lanes are so unpredictable. I was looking into a Tropical Breeze any suggestions or is what I have a good set up?

+1. The Tropical Breeze or the Roto Grip Scream/Shout are all good choices when you need a weaker core/cover in a ball. Those balls are meant for light oil and the burn and it should work out well for you.
The rest of your arsenal looks pretty well balanced and I wouldn't really change anything else.

I am using the Roto Grip Shout (2012 model - blue and orange) and love it for that type of condition. Still gives enough kick when it gets to the pocket but is manageable. If you look around, you can find them NIB at closeout price.

The Strike King is a very good ball, especially for the price, but is quite a bit stronger than the Tropical Breeze. I think it would be too close to his HyRoad. -- JohnP

I bought The Tropical Breeze, this ball for use at a local bowling lane and it works great.
