Safety and Bowling Shoes
« on: November 02, 2003, 07:52:49 PM »
I need to do a school paper on safety and thought I could do safety and the use of Bowling shoes while bowling.  Can anyone direct me to any regulations or pamphlets or information  on the need to use bowling shoes for safety while bowling and the reasons why?

MJnevetS -- I think the lack of responses to your request is because what you have asked for doesn't exist, not because we are hesitant to help you.  I would suggest that you expand your topic to cover bowling safety in general, including proper fit of the ball to avoid damage to the fingers and thumb, how to properly pick up a ball to avoid being hit by another ball being returned, and proper lifting techniques in general to avoid back injury.  To obtain your information, schedule an interview with either the manager or the pro shop manager of your local center.  I'm sure they will be more than willing to help you out.  Good bowling  --  JohnP

Thank you for responding.  I guess I will have to change the subject.
