I will be geting a 15# strike ball here soon. What would you all recomend as far as weight for a spare ball as im sure that is the only thing that matters with a spare ball.

Get a fifteen pounder. Using two different weight balls can throw off your rythm and form.

I normally throw 15lb equipment, but I got stuck getting a 14lb spare ball because it was all the pro shop had in stock when I needed one for my PBA Experience league (good luck shooting spares with an aggressive ball on those oil patterns!!!!). It DOES make a big difference. I have had to get used to the different armswings and releases I need. However, luckily after a full season, I'm pretty much used to the spare ball now and only miss spares when I just have a total brainfart. I however do NOT recommend going between weights on purpose for your spare ball! It just makes things more difficult.

I know it makes a difference between an aggressive ball or spare ball for spares but I wasnt sure about weather a weight difference was bad og god. but thank you both for clearing it up for me.

Here's a good tip on ball weight in your arsenal:
Unless your arsenal is undergoing transition to heavier or lighter balls, always have all of your balls with the same weight. This'll help with consistency and technique.
Using two or more different weights is kind of like using two different length sticks in ice hockey. One fits you properly and the other one will be too short or too long.

Get the same weight and plastic ball.
