WHICH BALL. ANY ADVICES?
« on: October 28, 2016, 04:32:52 PM »
Bowler
Hand Right
Style Stroker
Track Medium to High
Speed 16.5
Rev Rate 225
Tilt 7
Rotation 45
PAP 4 and 1/2 over 5/8 up

Lane Brunswick Semisynthetic, 10 years old

Oil 42 feet 18 to 20 units 3:1 Ratio from 5 to 35

Characteristics Burns quickly Have some carry down as many play with Plastic or Urethane

Other Bowlers (who play with Reactive Resin), two are two handed players with insane revs, mostly Tweeners and Crankers (they think it matters how much a ball hooks as opposed to where it hooks. Think in terms of side to side instead of Foul line to Break Point) and of course straight Plastic balls guys.

Looking for an Arsenal 5 balls

1. Low RG - High Diff - High Int Diff >> Name? Layout? Mate finish preferred

2. Medium to Slightly High RG - Not too Hight Diff >> Name? Layout? Hybrid cover preferred

3. Medium RG - Medium Diff >> Name? Layout? Hybrid with more percentage of Pearl preferred

4. Slightly Higher RG - Slightly Lower Diff >> Name? Layout? Polished finish preferred

5. High RG - Low Diff >> Name? Layout? High Polished finish preferred. Can a Urethane help fight extreme Dry? But that will cause carry down itself and may cause more problems. Right?

No company preferred but will try to stay with few which are considered mainstream

Why not ask your ProShop Operator? Well. None available. Nor any coach.

Any ideas?

just throw a plastic ball, a tzone, up the middle and average 180 and fill frames
Will expand arsenal after I polish my spares.

throwing a plastic ball up the middle on easier conditions is good practice to survive a longer pattern later in your bowling career

Vandal Smash
IQ Tour Solid (benchmark ball, never leave home without it)
Dare Devil (new Roto release in Nov.)
Hustle P/R/O
Pitch Blue or Hammer Purple Pearl Urethane

Low Rg-High Diff-Med Int Diff - Composite Solid Cover
Low Rg-Low Diff - Solid Cover
Low Rg-Med Diff - Pearl Cover
High Rg-Low Diff - Hybrid Cover
High Rg-Low Diff - Pearl Urethane Cover

My preference is to drill everything the same (5"x4"x3"), but everyone is different.  I just like to keep it simple.

Excellent. Thanks much. I too have a good experience with 5x4x3. Had a Pyramid Path Pearl. Matched great with my PAP and retained tilt adequate amount. Too bad it got stuck in stupid ball return and had an irreparable dent in the cover 8 inches long around my track area.

Thanks again. This is what I call Help. Unlike some who help (not) by saying "Grab a TZone". What a load of crap that was.

Anyway. Thanks much. Your choices seem very appropriate.
