my progress for the last few months
« on: November 23, 2008, 01:36:41 PM »
these are the videos taken in different moments for the last 4-5 months

i was using a 4 step at the beginning and then changed back to 5 steps.

what i want to improve is smoothness, less swing, less revs, more endurable and more accurate.

criticism welcomed but please with fundamentals.

oops, accidentally erased the post LOL sorry spider

btw: im still uploading the vids, the latest ones are # 20ish

1-20, oldest to newest
--------------------
When a house bowler misses the mark, misses the break point and strike, for many ppl its called a wallshot. When a pro does that its call adjustment

When a house bowler gets his finger stuck in the ball and fall on the lanes, for many ppl its called lame bowler. When a pro does that its called the Machuga flop! ha i like this one.

All I was saying is that it looks like you're trying really hard to look perfect.

I mean don't get me wrong, everything looks good, but you need to just let your arm swing be free and let the weight of the ball do all the work.

Keep up the good work....

Okay I looked at some more of your shots.  Your arm swing is completely all arm.  You don't really have a push away, you pretty much just set the ball down and start your swing, or at least that is what it looks like from the video.

I'd suggest watching a video of PBIII.  I know he's a lefty, but when he starts his swing, he gets the ball going and lets the ball do the work for his swing.

The goal is to be as loose and free as possible.  I went and took a lesson once, and was told to make a circle while pushing the ball out.  It didn't feel comfortable, but as I worked on it, it felt better.

It looks like you primarily have good balance, which is good, so don't change that.  I just think you need more of a free swing, but I'm sure someone else can help you more.
