Bowling Ball Stunt Gone Wrong
« on: March 29, 2007, 08:40:40 AM »
I saw this on Digg and knew I had to post it here.  I guess the kids forgot Netwon's 1st law: I. Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force is applied to it.  Oh, and what goes up, must come down.

Edited with direct movie link w/out blog crap.  I guess I should have look in the Digg comments before I posted.

So wait.  These kids decided to drive at high speed and then toss a bowling ball at a ramp on the ground next to the car?  BRILLIANT!

They could try that 100 more times and never get hit!

So that means, because of the odds that it wouldn't happen, outweigh the chance at serious injury/death not to mention the damage to the car itself.

I also have to aruge with them being about to get away with it 99% of the time unless they did some things very differently like veering away from the ramp as soon as the ball was released, putting less of an extreme angle on the ramp so it would shoot out more than up and hitting the brakes as soon as the ball was released.

Wait a minute, that gives me an idea . . . .
