Any Thoughts??
« on: October 31, 2007, 08:40:58 AM »
Sorry about the lighting, they had cosmic behind me.

I have been having problem over the last couple weeks with over hooking my Resurgence and Rival (more the Rival which is what I used in the video).  At our center they have free coaching one night a week but at least 8 or more people come and only one coach.

We change my push away from the 3 step to the 4 step.  Tried to keep the albow bent during the swing and starting my hand more on the side/behind the ball vs under to help on release.  The video is over about 4 games with my feet at the same position (I was bowing with 3 other people) I believe I made very good improvements but more is always welcome.

U need to stay more upright and balanced. U tend to lean over and pull your shots

no wonder the style and the center looked so familiar

how u doin Will? i had a change to practice with u on wednesdays few months ago, at least this time it wasnt on 17 and 18 hehe

say hi to paul from me

Emilio

PS: as of style, i believe u might be worried too much on the hand position, and as far as i ve seen u bowl, the consistency of reachin the breapoint is the key to success. In our house shot, i think u r choosin the breakpoint too close to the headpin, do it as Paul or Sean, let the ball go out and u'll find more breaks.

as far as bent elbow during swing, i personally wouldnt recommend that. I ve tried bendin my elbow and only found pain and inconsistency to reach the breakpoint.

so in short: keep ur style as it is, and believe on changing ur starting point and not too much about hand position. half board of ur foot will make difference.

When a house bowler misses the mark, misses the break point and strike, for many ppl its called a wallshot. When a pro does that its call adjustment

When a house bowler gets his finger stuck in the ball and fall on the lanes, for many ppl its called lame bowler. When a pro does that its called the Machuga flop! ha i like this one.
