Look pretty solid from where i'm sitting.

I would have got away with it if it was not for those pesky kids (Behind my lane) and those blasted 10 pins.

2nd set of dots, and still 7 steps?

That's sort of.. odd, I guess.  But if it works for ya.

Do you ever feel like you have timing problems?

yeh i know my steps are very short. i take 7 steps to stay loose. i used to take 4 but just felt like i was being rushed. 7 makes it more smooth for me. i try to take bigger steps and my timing just gets even worse.

lately however i feel my swing is off. i realize i do have a high backswing and this could cause other timing issues. any tips on how to fix my timing?

I noticed your hand comes around the ball a lot.  I can't really tell if you're turning it early, or if your hand just comes out of it late, but you're getting a lot of axis rotation as a result, and probably a little lower rev rate.  For playing deeper lines like that, it's fine, but it can make it tough to play more direct.  It also can limit your options and make carry difficult if you aren't careful.  Do you always release the ball like that?

yeh i always release it like that. i can play up the boards as well but that center is known to be very dry. that is my normal look at that center.

Main thing i see is timing   You take about 3 steps before you even move the ball. Your first step the ball should be in motion

On a 7 step approach?  That's ridiculous.  I have always taken 5 steps... starting my swing on my second step.  Then when I took bowling in college (which was the easiest A I've ever received) they always taught the 4 step approach.  In which you push the ball out on the first step.  The second step the ball should be at 6 o'clock.  The third step is the highest point of the backswing, and the fourth and final step you should release.  How do you put that into a seven step approach starting on the first step?  He's doing the right thing starting on his fourth step... at least that's what I was always taught from coaches.

i use the 3 steps in the beginning to stay loose. i used to take only 4 steps but would always feel stiff or stuck like a robot. its just a personal preference. any other tips besides my odd amount of steps? haha thanks again everyone.

If you were bowling against me, I'd tell you to grip the ball a lot more and throw it a lot harder.
