Title: BREAK PEARL VS. BREAK VIDEO!
Post by: revTrex on February 02, 2008, 01:07:19 PM
Here it is, guys!

Both balls were drilled with the Rico layout. Surfaces are OOB. First part of the video is on the 2004 USBC Open pattern...the last part is on a fresh THS.

Unless the 04 shot just plays way different on this lane surface then there is no way that is the same pattern that was in reno in 04.

I bowled that year and no one had that kind of room towards the gutter.

Ditto here, the us open pattern does not give area right. Plus a few of those strikes held , and that doesent happen on the us open pattern either.

USBC Open, not US Open.

Yes, as Shelley reminded, it was the USBC OPEN pattern from 2004.

I didn't bowl in that event, but I know for a fact that many, many USBC OPEN patterns will break down such that you do have area.

Also, I really wasn't that close to the gutter...boards 7-10 at the breakpoint are NOT close.

And if you are referring to the second part of the video, that is the house shot.
