thats what i call releasing stress, too much power
--------------------
When a house bowler misses the mark, misses the break point and strike, for many ppl its called a wallshot. When a pro does that its call adjustment
When a house bowler gets his finger stuck in the ball and fall on the lanes, for many ppl its called lame bowler. When a pro does that its called the Machuga flop! ha i like this one.
-
thats how you muscle a ball right there

GO CELTICS!!!!

I agree with these guys. You can achieve that power (speed and revolutions) without that much force on yourself. I'm sure somebody will chime in to further expand on that.
If you look at the first video in my profile (poor quality) that's what I was trying to do. Of course, it worked. But it puts way too much strain on the body, which is why I'm trying to knock that habit.
Other than that, I see no issues.

IMHO too much of everything. I bet you have a hard time controlling your ball on the lane, therefore muscling it, which causes control issues, and so forth. Hook is not everthing, and the split in your 1st strike shot is pretty symptomatic for your style. Hit or miss, and I guess only little in between?

Yes I do bowl charlie cap and yes that is filmed at garden city. Controlling my ball isn't a problem nor is my accuracy. I am working on slowing down to create better carry though. I have always had very fast timing and I used to "try" and hook the ball in the video I am just coming though the shot, I know hooking the ball isn't everything. What are some could ways to slow "everything" down. Every time I try to slow down my timing gets UGLY!
Thanks for all you input plz keep it coming
More video with some oil on the lanes soon

"Controlling my ball isn't a problem nor is my accuracy." You might want to re-watch the video. you're not exactly hitting the same mark over and over again. I think you're right if you can slow down and free up your arm swing a bit without totally ruining your timing it's worth a try.

I know you cant see it in the video but I am using 3 different balls a burgundy hammer, 2D, and a black widow. I was also trying to change angles to see the pin action *not for ascetics either* to find the best line to carry. FYI I wound up using my scorching inferno up the lane in league.

The first thing I'd do is let gravity do the lifting. You muscle the ball in your backswing, and you 'throw' it out. Try keeping the ball at chest level and let the weight of the ball take control of your backswing, and naturally move forward. That might slow things down a bit.
Just my opinion. It's worth a shot.

After you release the ball your body does this "spring loaded recoil" kick. You leg pulls in and then kick back out while your arm swings aggressively back and forth. This is a sign that your putting an excess of power in finishing motion and is not necessary because.... the balls already at the pins.
Where'd this style go? The follow through it great

This shot you don't over exaggerate the swinging motion of your arm and your leg stays in place.

Hey Kevin,
I have to agree with you 100% which is what I have been working on for the passed 2 weeks getting my power to be smooth again! Finally figured out that my arm was a little late hence the "spring loaded" release. Last night I was back to my old self smooth, low to the line, aggressive without muscling the ball threw the shot!

Your feet would need to slow down if you want to let gravity control the ball and keep your timing in sync.
If you are hitting your target consistently with good ball speed, then who cares. Most people would kill for that kind of power. I'm sure you get an insane amount of shrapnel on the deck.
I wouldn't say the bad carry in some of those shots was indicative of anything. You just had the ball in the oil too long on some of the shots, which is a risk you take when you play that deep. Congrats on the 800 and keep up the good game you got there.

There is nothing so easy to learn as experience and nothing so hard to apply.

It's better/smoother than you other video (the one in the white shirt). Yes, a little too muscled. The third shot seemed the smoothest. I would start from there and work on evening out some .

Hey everyone,
Had another honor scoring night I shot 249, 297 (12 ball was terrible ) 269= 815. I also wanted everyone to know that I shot it against my Pops AGAIN!! He has vowed to dis own me if I do it to him again ......lol. (not really)
So I'm guessing that all the practice is beginning to pay off since this is my 11, and 12 honor scores of this season well more like in the passed 8 weeks!! Just wanted to say that my pops didn't bowl to shabby himself shooting 727 tonight.
