- Description: CFT versa-max solid is our newest breakthrough in Chemical Friction Technology. The CFT versa-max solid coverstock uses a combination of all the CFT coverstocks to create the ultimate coverstock. By using less mechanical friction to produce hook, the CFT versa-max solid coverstock provides enhanced projection down the lane while saving axis rotation for more energy on the backend and through the pins.
The new Dual Flip I – Block symmetric core incorporates a top and bottom flip block over a centered mass. The centered mass creates stability while the dual flip blocks keep the core revving to the backend all the way through the pins for improved pin action.
With its High Gloss Finish, the C•(System) versa-max skids effortlessly through the front, saving axis rotation for the backend with a strong continuous breakpoint. The C•(System) versa-max is the most versatile ball motion from fresh to extremely broken down lane conditions on light to medium-oily lane patterns.
At Brunswick, the unique core shape of each individual ball is used for weights from 14 to 16 pounds. This approach to lightweight ball engineering provides bowlers with consistent ball reaction characteristics across this weight range. At 12 and 13 pounds, Brunswick uses a generic core shape with a RG-differential that is close enough to the 14 to 16 pound shape so the same drilling instructions can be used.

I just got a chance to throw my new Versa yesterday on a burned up house shot. This ball is drilled pin up 4x4 with a 2" pin buffer. It gave me easy length and a strong reaction on the back. While it was strong, with the carry down it made the corner and continued out through he 8-9 with authority. It isn't a sharp cornering motion or an arc motion. It is very deceptively smooth. While others had difficulty keeping the ball off the nose, this ball allowed me to play the track and still carry. When this ball flushed the pocket, I don't think I have ever seen pins get pulled off the deck as fast as with the Versa. Thanks to everyone at Brunswick on another fabulous piece of equipment! I am looking forward to see how it reacts with fresh head oil and crisp back ends. I will post again when I get some games under my belt on the fresh.

Likes: The higher RG core and highly polished cover allow exceptional length. The solid cover is very predictable late on the lane, which is a HUGE asset. When the pearl reactives want to get "jumpy" this ball just grips the lane surface and does not let go. I love the carry percentage - especially the corners! Nice black color with gold logos, too.
To the average "Joe" this ball does not do anything fancy. But to the bowler who wants to score and compete while playing a little closer to the friction it's going to be difficult to beat this ball. In my opinion, this is the best of the entire C-System line and at a lower price point to boot! Outstanding value.
Dislikes: I left 2 ten pins all night. Maybe next week I will carry every one...

Likes:This ball is super clean through the front and middle part of the lane with a very controlled motion off the spot. I was able to play the track most of the night with this ball. I have used this ball on three different lane surfaces now and have scored well on all three. Wood, Brunswick, and AMF synthetic lanes. This ball will keep you from moving deep inside after the first game. This ball is going to be a great ball for most styles of bowlers. Brunswick has done it again with this ball, you wanted something that was long and strong now it's here!!
Dislikes: This really isn't a dislike more than a note, if you do have to get deep on a house pattern with a really big crown you will have to go to something a little earlier like the Nexus Pearl.

Likes: Drilled it 2.5 from PAP, CG on PAP, didn't need hole because of low top weight. Decided to deviate from my normal 6 inch pin to try to create less aggressiveness from breakpint to pocket. Funny, I haven't had a ball drilled this weak that tries its best to minimize out of bounds right. We have a "don't throw the ball right of 10 down the lane" spot, and I have been forced to play further inside to avoid this spot. This reminds me of my favorite benchmark ball, the DV8 Reckless, but is better with a higher oil volume.
Dislikes: as with any benchmark ball type of reaction, has issues with 4 pin, 10 pin, 8 pin when moving deep inside. A DV8 Too Reckless with 2000 grit is a great complement when this happens.

Likes: This ball gives great length, stored energy, and great down lane backend with continuation through the pocket. I first used this ball on the cheetah pattern one with a pin down and one with a pin up. I found that the orginal cover makes the ball very angular on the backend. So with my pin under ball, I chose to alter the surface to 2000 by hand with a Siaar pad. This gave me a much smoother look, and has allowed for a very predictible reaction. The ball with a pin up drilled 70 x 5 x 30 is very angular and quick response to friction down lane giving me a very agressive look. It reacts stronger for me than my Wicked Siege which I thought was a pretty angular ball. I really think the appeal to this ball for all bowlers is its ability to get through the heads smoothly and with the strored energy down lane bow lers will see the strong hitting power of this ball. I found this to be a closer ball. If you bowl in tournaments where they have longer qualifing blocks or your bowl on pattern that has been broken down this ball gives you the versitility and the control to score. Great ball when transition has occured. I used this ball as well on medium league shot and I was able to use this ball from start to finish with great success.

If you are looking for a smooth reacting ball, then the C*(System) versa-max is for you! This ball has a very unique motion on the lane that no other ball currently on the market can copy. It clears the heads with ease and when reaching the friction it makes a smooth transaction. This ball doesn't jerk left when seeing friction, nor skate through carrydown. Even though I have a strong dual angle drilling of 45 x 4" x 65 on it, I can play in one area of the lane longer because it doesn't over react. This would be a good ball for fresh conditions, and is the definition of a benchmark ball. It has such a good roll, I want to use it every match in league or every tournament. I have used it for 12 games now in the past week and have left 5, 8 pins on pocket hits as well as shooting a 276 and 279 which included an 8 pin in the 6th frame. The black color of the ball allows you to see the motion easier. It can handle all volumes of oil and works good when the lanes transition. If you need to smooth out the reaction a little more, you can take the polish off by using a 2000 Siaair pad. I had an Anaconda with the same drilling, and this ball is much smoother at the breakpoint. This will be the ball of the year for 2012! I would suggest drilling the versa-max a little stronger than normal because of how smooth of a reaction it has downlane.

The C System Versa Max is the newest installment in the C System line. The intent was to create a benchmark reaction. The C System line is taking over the Revolver line. The Versa's cover is using the best of previous C System balls. The ball is a solid shiny black. Looks absolutely great going down the lane.
I have 2 of these drilled. 35x5x75 with a hole on the PAP. This was drilled for medium type patterns. This one allows me to keep my anlges tighter and then to chase the oil in. This layout does have a point to where I need to put it away. I always know what this ball is going to do.
2nd one is drilled 65x4.5x35. This one allows me to open up my angles when there is a defined hook spot. Even with this layout it doesn't really flip on the back part of the lane. This is still very predictable on the back part of the lane. I can use this ball on the fresh and go straighter as well.
The Versa Max, is very versitale and very predictable. Which makes a great benchamrk ball. This ball really goes through the pins different than I have ever seen from a Brunswick ball. In the last 9 years the main ball I have thrown has been Brunswick, and the Versa is making its way to the top of my favorite list.

Brunswick Versa Max
Bowler’s Stats:
Speed: 18.5 mph
Rev Rate: 400rpm
Axis Tilt: 10 degrees
Axis Rotation: 30-45 degrees
Ball #1 Layout:
45* by 5.5” by 45*
Tested first OOB surface but currently at 4000 abralon
Ball #2 Layout
45* by 4.5” by 80* with P3 hole
Tested first OOB surface but currently at 2000 abralon
Purpose:
The Versa Max is advertised to be the ultimate benchmark ball. With its higher RG core and solid coverstock, I knew it’d make an even better candidate for my benchmark ball due to my heavy forward roll. Ball #1 was drilled to be my true benchmark ball: the first one out of the bag at any tournament and always having a place in my bag. Ball #2 was drilled specifically for the USBC national’s pattern in that it would be a medium oil ball that starts up early and strong in the midlane with a smooth reaction off of the dry.
On 39’ medium volume THS:
Granted you can strike with anything on THS but WOW these things strike at will. With the out of the box surface, Ball #1 couldn’t miss. The clean cover and high RG core pushed the ball through the heads and the solid coverstock started reading the very last of the midlane and then the backend took over to shred rack after rack. I started practicing with a modest line over 3rdarrow and then began to play around more. I moved out to 2ndarrow and in to 5th. Regardless of where I stood and where the ball was sent, it went through the pins amazingly. Moving out to play 2ndarrow out to about 8, I just increased my speed and stayed more up the back of the ball. Doing so made the ball set up and read the midlane a little sooner but it did so in a more continuous manner so as to not overreact to the friction. If it wasn’t dead flush, this ball sent the headpin to take out anything left standing. When I got as deep as 5tharrow, the ball just kept cornering. There was almost no way for it to not get back to the pocket. The only way to not get it back to pocket was to completely miss it at the bottom. Now with my ball roll, 5tharrow is getting deep for me and where I like to play. Regardless, the Versa Max still maintained excellent ball roll and pin carry and was strong thoughout the entire pin deck. Didn’t leave a single weak 10 pin playing that far in. That alone makes it a keeper!
Ball #2 on THS wasn’t as flashy but got the job done equally well. No, it didn’t have all of the backend as Ball #1 but still had great carry across the lane. Obviously with a smoother shot shape it worked better from further out than Ball #1 but still held its own when getting in deep. Out of the box, Ball #2 was actually STRONGER off of the SPOT than Ball #1. However the change in direction was about 2 feet sooner and used more energy which didn’t allow for the same amount of backend. Overall, with the out of the box surface, Ball #1 hooked about the same amount as Ball #2 but did so a lot more on the backend.
I’m not a fan of polish unless the shot is extremely dry, so since my plan for these two were to be my benchmarks (#1 in general and #2 for nationals and other sport shots), I took the surface of Ball #1 to 4000 grit and Ball #2 to 2000 grit.
Ball #1 at 4000 grit made the THS look even easier than before (didn’t think that was possible) by smoothing out the overall motion but still keeping a lot of the recovery it had at the OOB surface. Ball #2 at 2000 actually decreased the overall hook for me on this THS and brought the breakpoint in about another 2 feet and really smoothed the backend out even. Although not normally ideal for THS, I knew it’d be perfect for when it really matters, the tough stuff!
43’ NCAA pattern #1 (3-4:1 ratio):
Bowling on this pattern made me fall in love with these two bowling balls. Everyone knows you can basically strike from anywhere on THS. But on this pattern, with both balls, I could strike at will from up the 2 board all the way into 4tharrow on the fresh. You aren’t even supposed to be able to play outside 8 on this pattern but the Versa Max still made it look easy out there because of the smooth roll off of the spot. From further inside the Versa Max, before changing surface, cornered a ton and gave me more miss room than anyone else at the end of the pattern. People literally asked “Are you sure that’s a Brunswick ball?”. This ball truly has the reaction shape like no other Brunswick ball you’ve seen go down the lane at the out of the box surface. Changing the surface to 4000 on Ball #1 and to 2000 on Ball #2 not only gave me left to right miss room, but also more front to back miss room thanks to the more steady move off the friction. Regretfully, I haven’t yet been able to throw these balls on the Nationals pattern, but the reaction shape I get from them after the surface change makes me more confident that these will be the balls to throw due to their ability to smooth out the pattern and to play more outside to start and just follow the pattern inside.
Final thoughts:
I’ll keep this simple. This is possibly my favorite ball of all time. If you are going to Baton Rouge, you NEED this ball in your bag. If you aren’t going to Baton Rouge, you STILL NEED this ball in your bag, PERIOD. GET ONE NOW!

Likes: The ability to control the breakpoint with plenty of continuation on the backend. The fact that the ball will allow you to play almost any angle.
Dislikes: For me it is a little long when the heads are fresh but really comes into play once the breakdown period starts.
The C System Versamax is the newest in a successful line of C System balls that debuts at a lower pricepoint than all the previous balls in the C System line. This ball offers maximum versatility giving you the ability to master almost any moderate volume lane condition with the right release, drill pattern and surface prep. This ball is UNIQUE! I have never thrown another bowling ball with the shape this ball offers. The Versamax manages to be long through the front and read the back part of the pattern in such a way that is is strong but controllable. Controllable balls usually pick up so early in the midlane that when the pattern breaks down and you have to move left they won't conserve enough energy to make the turn and finish. The C System Versamax will allow you to move left and open up the pattern once the lanes do start to break down. When my Lethal Revolver reads to early in the midlane the Versamax allows me to push past the burn spot on the lanes and still control the breakpoint with phenomenal carry. I have also used this ball as a ball down option from my Nexus Pearl when it just plain hooks too much. The Versamax will allow you to stay right a little longer when that situation arises, while still allowing you to move left and open up the lane as the pattern continues to breakdown. This ball is all about control, versatility, and recovery at the back of the lane. On the Nationals pattern in Baton Rouge this ball was my best look as the heads went away. It continued to clear the front part of the lane with a predictable move on the backend during the transitional period and carry was really good! It was also the go to ball of one of my team event partners that shot three good sets during the tournament. This ball needs to be the go to ball for all bowling Nationals at the River Center this year and anyone that is looking for a versatile benchmark piece. If this isn't ball of the year I will be very surprised! The C System Versamax is the ultimate medium lane condition ball. Do yourself a favor and C what the Versamax can do for your game!

Likes:I have to say that I disagree a little with my fellow staffers when they say this ball is smooth reactin. I wouldn't say that. When I think smooth, I think Original Inferno, Ultimate's, etc. This ball isn't sideways at the breakpoint, but to me it has a pretty defined breakpoint. I have mine drilled 50 by 5 by 30 no hole, and out of the box surface. This ball is clean through the front with a very nice backend motion. Compared to other Brunwick balls, I would put in in the shape and motion of a Pearl Fury, mabe a little cleaner and a little more backend. Unless I put a little surface on this ball, I don't know how much it will be the first ball out of my bag, but many times it will be the second one out, or a great second shift ball. A plain black bowling ball is nice for a change as well. This ball is really really good, especially at it's price point.

Very smooth and predictable! I used a strong drill angle and pin up layout: 30 degrees x 3-9/16" x 35 degrees, pin 3-1/4" above midline and 1-7/16" right of centerline. I used a weight hole 3-3/8" from pap down on val. I hit the surface with a white scotchbrite pad and the ball isn't jumpy at all, but a very smooth through the front part of the lane and midlane with a strong arc at the breakpoint! I find the Karma pink/purple with a similar layout to be more flippy at the breakpoint! I used the ball for the first time last night after over 8 weeks off after surgery and I shot 681 last night and 711 at a different house tonight with the front 8 the last game after moving my feet about four boards all night. The ninth frame I left a 10 pin, with a 7 pin first ball in the 10th with another 10 pin for fill ball for a 267. This will be the first ball out of my bag, cause it'll give me a better and more true read of the oil pattern. I have another Versa-Max that I'm going to use a pin down layout and it'll give me a great 1-2 punch with the Nexxus/Double X for the floods!!!
Likes: Very smooth and predictable with great carry even with moves deeper into the pattern!

Layout used: 58 x a 15/16 x 66 Pin ended up being under my bridge with the cg kicked out about 2 inches with a small hole needed on my axis.
Ball Surface: OOB
Review: This ball is by far the smoothest ball Brunswick has ever made. Its so easy to read what's out on the lane, it will be your first ball out of your bag. This ball allows you to play closer to friction than any other ball at its level without having the ball over reacting. When most balls see friction they tend to go sideways and react too soon. But this one seems to have a strong arc to it saving all its power for the backend. Brunswick finally has that ball that can compete with the gamebreakers and black widows of the world.
Strengths/Weakness: The smooth controllable motion, takes well to surface changes, its ability to play closer to friction creating optimal entry angle for better carry.

drilled 55x5x60. I wanted something with length that I could use when my rising star was too much ball.Something that would give lenght but would have something in the tank after it turned the corner. So far I got what I was looking for. Good length and a very definite move off the spot. It will hook even if it doesnt carry which is problematic for me. I dont like to make big moves, but I am learning that the move doesnt change even after adjusting into the oil. I shot a few games today after not being happy with last night, there was more oil,but because it was practice I made a big move up and right and was very impressed. The ball glided thru the oil and responded to the back end transition very nicely. Its move is so smooth you wont want to move if you dont carry and you wont want to put it down when you do. With a little trust this could easily be a one set ball. I can even use it for my ten pins. Its not my weakest ball but it might be my most versatile.
I also have a hellraiser drilled similar the hellraiser may handle a bit more oil ,but knowing what I know now i would only have the versa. The versa is a good bench mark ball.

The C-System Versa Max is very much as advertised. I initially tried the ball with the out of box polished surface on a fresh 44' house pattern. The ball is very clean through the heads/mids and moves off the spot very well. The box condition had a little over/under reaction and was a little late to the pocket. I hand scuffed with a 2000 pad, the Versa Max still was very clean but started a bit earlier. That was definitely the ticket. The ball revs up very easily, this I attribute to a great cover/core match up.
On a fresh house shot you can easily play the track area and ride the shim. If there is friction the Versa Max will read it and make a strong but, controlled arc to the pocket. I have used the Versa Max on both THS and Pro Anvil and found it performed equally as well on both surfaces. I've also thrown the Versa Max on the same 44' broken down (2nd shift) house pattern. The heads and mids were fried but, the Versa Max allowed me to move in and send it left to right. On this condition the ball is still very clean through the heads/mids and has plenty left to make the corner.
I find that I've gone to the Versa Max quite often and it is quickly becoming my benchmark ball. Brunswick has created a reaction shape that fills a gap in most bowler's arsenal. It is definitely a “long and strong” reaction and reacts well to changes in release. Versa Max is definitely a good name since the ball is certainly a versatile piece. I see this ball as a tremendous ball for both league and tournament bowlers. For those who only have one or two balls and bowl league, don't overlook this piece. It will cover a wide range of conditions. Tournament bowlers needing a long a strong reaction will see that from this piece.
Dislikes:
This is not really a dislike but, I don't see the Versa Max as a ball where you will move deep on a fresh shot with high volumes of oil concentrated in the middle of the lane. The Versa Max is so clean it will skate through the puddle and may be over/under off the friction typically on the outside. But, then again that is not what the ball is intended to do. You can chase it in once the breakdown occurs and keep the same move to the pocket.

I played the lanes wrong and tried to make the ball work the first game and struggle for a 191. I relaxed and changed hand position and finish the night with 279 and 269 for 739 series!!! I also tried the pin up the first game after about 5 frames and realized how much stronger the pin down is compared to pin up!!! I may have to drill a third more of a label leverage for another option!!!
Dislikes: I didn't drill a pin down sooner!!! I don't have a dislike for either Versa-Max and they'll be used a lot!!!
Train a child up in the way they should go and when they are old they will do some "Damn Good Bowling", be a "DV8" and not turn from it, besides bowling starts with a Big B!

LANE CONDITION
42 foot Kegel Stone Street pattern (medium-heavy longish THS)
I think Brunswick hit the mark with this piece, making a truly versatile ball. You will definitely find this ball useful on most conditions you face, which are typically medium to medium-light THS. You won't have to fight this ball since it is so clean through the fronts. It still generates a strong move at the breakpoint, which will allow it to be continuous through the pocket. The pattern we tested on is a bit long for this ball, but it performed well nonetheless. It was very predictable and while we had to play more direct, we got it to the pocket shot after shot with good carry.

Volume: Med-High
Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): 6-1 ratio THS
Layout 65 X 5 X 35
Likes: This ball is very clean through the front and mid portions of the lane. Almost too clean. Add to that the recovery downlane and you've got a great medium oil ball. For me, I like this ball best with some friction built into the lane or the pattern. As the lane breaks down, I can get an earlier read from the ball and more consistent reaction downlane. I have this ball as longer and stronger than the new Karma Pink/Purple pearl. I like that it is black. It looks great going downlane.
Compared to my Ulti-Max, it's quite a bit longer, but the Ulti-max covers 2-3 boards more in my estimation. The Ulti-Max really is a control ball and this is a skid/flip ball. Which is why friction is so important in getting a consistent reaction for me. As the track gets burned in, I would step down from my Ulti-Max and into this ball to keep my angles strong.
Dislikes: Under likes, I said almost too clean. It really is a skid/flip ball for me which is good and bad. For me, makes it more condition specific. I really can't use it much on fresh unless I am playing straight up the boards, which on most THS shots, gives you a worse reaction than looping the ball a little. If your house lacks friction like most of ours up here, it can become a problem.

Likes: Drilled the Versa Max 70 * 4 1/2 * 50 and left OOB condition. They shoulda named this ball versa smooooth.
First off seeing a black ball roll down the lane again was just a nice sight to see. Its hard to describe the motion of the Vmax you watch it glide down the lane then it just moves left and destroys the pocket. Its not a skid flip, its not a smooth early arc but what ever it is I like it.
With the layout I put on the Vmax its not the best in heavy oil and I have better options for that type of a shot, but as the lanes break down and im looking at getting really deep or stay and switch balls the Vmax has made that decision alot easier. Woulda never thought I would buy a Big B ball, but im having no regrets about the Vmax.
Dislikes: none at this time.

LANE CONDITION

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): modified boardwalk
This ball has very quickly become my benchmark ball and is the first out of my bag at every tournament I participate in. The Versa-Max is one of the smoothest, most predictable balls I have ever owned and will be the first ball I ever buy multiple of.
On the Boardwalk pattern from Kegel, which was modified for the surface bowled on to 37' this ball excelled at making area and recovering from shots thrown to the right of the target. Although a shorter pattern the ball stored enough energy to carry the light hits and had very good continuation through the pins.
This ball is a good all around ball and should be the first out of anyone's bag to read the oil pattern the quickest and to ensure you the best chance to bowl your best.
Likes: predictability, versatility, smooth arcing reaction, great hitting power and transfer of energy.
Dislikes: N/A

Likes: I was dead set on a Taboo Jet Black to replace my "cracked in half" original Break solid. The only problem was that my pro shop was having a hard time getting me one, and I called another distributor who said that he didn't like his shipment due to it all being short pins, so he sent them all back and will be getting a new shipment. So as I was waiting, I started hearing good things about the Versa Max. I have never owned a Brunswick ball, so the only thing that kept me looking at getting this was the reviews here on Ballreviews.com. I have not seen or noticed anyone throwing this ball at the houses that I was practicing at. When both balls came in to the distributor, I had to choose one, so I chose the Versa Max, and I am glad I did.(plus it was like $40 cheaper :))
Had it drilled pin over ring, weight hole, and molded thumb. This ball is so clean through the heads and a very smooth but strong arc to the left. I had a few practice sessions and used it for the first time in league last night. Old wood lanes and the oil pattern is constantly changed, but it was at 39'. No awesomely great scores to brag about (because I threw some very bad shots and I couldn't pick up all my spares) but I did win a pot, so it was still good enough! This ball was the first out of my bag, and I stayed with it for all 3 games. Moved one board left with the feet for the first game, then another half board, then did a 4x2, and that was about it.
When I did throw it to where I wanted it to go, good things happened. I even had a couple guys asking me about this ball and guys were peeking to see what this shiny black ball was.
Dislikes: Absolutely none. I think i'm going to get another one and drill it pin under.
I know it sounds like I'm in denial, but I'm not.

COMMENTS
Likes: Ball definitely gives a different look than many on the market. The first thing I really noticed about the ball is that I can play straighter through the heads than with any other ball I have. As a result a lot more pocket hits seem to be high flush. Good example is one tournament pattern on old anvil lane where my Nexus p+r and my Frantic both forced me to play too much head belly. Nexus would not push to my desired break point, and my frantic would sometimes hang and not finish. I was able to tighten me feet a couple of boards with the Versa and got a clean look through the heads with a shot that flushed up solid. Versa is particularly good for me on wet dry house shots. As a stroker I am constantly fighting the over under and getting bad carry angles on house shots with my other stuff. Versa lets me play a little further right, and makes a strong but not jumpy move off the dry. Haven't used it on a real long pattern, but if you like to square up and roll the ball rather than fight the pattern I have a hunch this one will hit using such an approach.
Dislikes: Not a ball to simply stand left and throw right. Ball will burn in the dry if I try to cover too many boards from a deep angle. Not sure how much of this is attributable to my pin down layout with a hole on my PAP.

Likes: I Love the Black with Gold. BRUNSWICK Please make more Black Balls, the feedback of the black ball on the tan panel gives instant feeback if you made a good shot or not. I love how clean the ball is through the front part of the lane and its smooth but strong change of direction down lane. I love the fact that Brunswick decided to make this core symmetric. A great ball for medium to dry to medium to oil lanes. A "GREAT" brenchmark ball, one you can start and stay with.
Dislikes: Not for heavy oil and or carry down.

Bowling Ball C versa-max solid is our newest breakthrough in Chemical Friction Technology.

Comments:
By far this ball is one of my favorites of all time. When Brunswick named this ball they got it dead on, VERSATITLITY does not even begin to describe this ball. I bowl league in an old wood house,on tournaments with pro-anvil synthetic and last year at nationals in Baton Rouge. This ball worked everywhere I went. The box finish is polished and I found it to be to over under of a reaction and used a 2000 then 4000 abralon pad and it got rid of the over under. This was also the first c-system ball that had the new symmetrical core in it which also increases the versatility of this ball as well as the ability to allow a bowler to use multiple drilling patterns on it. When going anywhere this is the first ball in the bag and when we start it, it is the benchmark ball to start with, and use a majority of the day.

Likes: Classic Brunswick reaction, smooth and predictable. A great medium THS piece.
Dislikes: Does show a little over under at times later in blocks when the heads start to go or with a little carry down. I prefer this ball on fresh medium THS where I need control and something the blend out the cliff.
Drilled 55x5x30 no hole. I LOVE this ball!!! This is the classic brunswick reaction I fell in love with in the Pro Zone series, only BETTER :) This ball is clean through the heads, reads the mids and begins its smooth increasing arc as it reads friction. A wonderful piece by brunswick. This is my benchmark for medium length and volume THS, complimented by my Pink/Purple Karma (same drilling, OOB).

I just bought this ball today because i was unhappy with my Hammer Taboo. At first it wasn't really reacting the way I expected it to so I did a bit of research and found out that it isn't a really high hooking ball. Once I found that out, I began to bowl at my house, which is usually heavy oil conditions, but they had broken down after a 5-man league. I was immediately happy with the results. As the reviews said, it isn't a really high hooking ball, but it is a very easily controlled ball and it hits hard. I had a lot of very bad shot, but still generated a lot of pin action and strikes. I was also able to pick up more of my spares, two of which were difficult (4-7-9 and 5-7 splits). My Taboo was very difficult to handle and strike with. If is hit the pocket, it hit hard. If not, it was weak. I am very happy with how hard this ball hits, no matter where it hits. If you want a ball that is going to run from one side of the lane to the other and back, this is not the ball for you. But if you are looking for more control, this ball if perfect for you.

Me: Stroker, low revs, play up th 10 board. I like a consistant ball that can get through the oil and then turn towards the 1-3
COMMENTS
Likes: Consistent, pretty arc to the pocket. Gets through the oil like a champ and then moves....not too strong, but a nice controllable move. One of the best bowling balls I've ever thrown. And a beautiful black ball with none of the too popular multicolored surfaces we see today.
Dislikes: Needs oil. Dry lanes causes it to really hook and hit softer. I give it a 9+.
