Fuze Reactive Purple Pearl
« on: December 31, 1969, 06:00:00 PM »
The Fuze Purple Pearl, featuring the new XLR-G2 coverstock (Extra Length Reactive - Generation 2), provides cleaner front-ends with more length than aggressive Reactive or Proactive (particle) coverstock balls.  Excellent traction in carry down results in a strong and continuous back-end reaction.  Combined, these characteristics make the Fuze Reactive Purple Pearl less sesitive to broken down heads while maintaining excellent recovery at the breakpoint as the lane condition continues to break down.  High Rev rate players will find the Fuze Purple Pearl matches up well on medium-oily to medium dry lane conditions, while players with more average rev rates will find it best suited to medium to drier conditions.

as i am a avg revs. with slower speed this ball matches up good for me on medium to oily lane conditions. This is a great ball when you want a ball that goes longer than many reactive balls like the frenzy or smash/r. This ball has a very strong arc instead of a skid/snap. which is good if you play straight up the boards . With the XL2 coverstock this ball goes long and turns strong but not t0o strong. When you need to be accurate on medium to oily lanes this would defitinly the ball to buy. This ball also hits like a train. I would recommend this ball to slower ball speeds with below to avg. revs needing a ball that works on medium to oily lanes and crushes the pocket.

question: have any of you maxed out the drilling and scuffed it? How is it?

Had this ball for almost two years and this one really mistifies me.  Ive shot some really high games, including a 300 in a pot game but also really struggled with this one.  My pin is at 12 below my fingers with teh cg in my palm.  This ball is very smooth off the dry and is not as jumpy as my monster so it does compliment that quite nicely.  This ball also did one positive thing for me, it got me turned back onto brunswick.  Prior to i would not throw anything with a "B" simply because they were early rollers but with this ball i got an excellant reaction.  THe only thing i have to say is that it can be extremely squirty for example at release if i drop my thumb or dont come off the ball hard it rolls very weak, when if i get slow or overhit this ball it will jump extremely hard.  The ball does hit pretty hard and aside from problems at the release it usually carries, flat ten = flat roll, flat roll= my fault not the balls :-).
"yes i throw it like a girl, but i throw like a girl exactly the same every time"

I just went to using Brunswick stuff last week and am beginning to love it. I got this ball, secoand hand. I love this ball for it's length and hitting power at the back. When the heads burn up, this is a good ball. That's what I've experienced with this ball.

Good High rev ball. I used it for 2 years. The Ball is drilled under my ring finger and the CG is straight down. The drill is good if you locked your wrist in one position or else the ball will go all over the board. For a years of practiced I developed a wrist action that makes the ball more revolution and Faster. I think I will try to sand this ball to give me nice clean arc.

Overall 9 out of 10
