Title: Jagged Edge Solid
Post by: BallReviews-scodaddy21 on June 20, 2019, 09:39:21 AM
The Brunswick Jagged Edge bowling balls continue the Edge series of bowling balls featuring a low RG symmetric weight block. The Jagged Edge Solid combines the Brink Symmetric core with the Relativity 2.0 Solid Reactive coverstock. This ball has a lower RG and higher Differential than it's predecessor, the Cutting Edge, and can handle more oil due to the 3000 Siaair finish. The coverstock on this ball offers more recovery when bowling on medium to oily lane conditions.

COMMENTS

The Jagged Edge Solid reminds me of the Cutting Edge Solid but more continuous backend motion.  The Jagged Edge Solid is definitely a great benchmark ball for tournament conditions and sport patterns

The entire Edge line has been a great benchmark ball series, and the latest edition, the Jagged Edge Solid is no exception. I threw this ball for a few shots in practice before a tournament on the PBA Carmen Salvino Pattern and then proceeded to shoot 279 out of the gate. This ball is predictable and will help you manage the pocket. Whether itís on a league pattern or sport pattern, the ball reads the lane extremely well. This ball becomes my new benchmark ball and will see a lot of action in tournaments and leagues this season.

The Jagged Edge Solid is a smooth rolling ball that is good on a variety of moderate conditions.  It has a smoother shape that allows me to maintain control of the pocket when the lanes are on the tougher side.  I have thrown this ball for the vast majority of league games this season so far due to its versatility.  I am able to throw it very direct and also to move in and throw it away from me.  This one is a bit longer than the Cutting Edge Hybrid and reminds me a bit more of the Magnitude 035.  It seems to have a bit more rounded shape and carries just a bit better.  Overall, this one is a great ball for the majority of bowlers on many moderate conditions and is a can't miss in my opinion.

The Jagged Edge Solid is a symmetrical ball that is an excellent choice for sport and tournament patters.  It's even rolling, continuous, and takes well to surface adjustments.  Mine is drilled pin beneath the bridge and with that layout I can get the ball to control the backends very nicely, which comes in handy if you have a shorter pattern or a challenging condition with little area to hit.

The price point of this ball also makes it attractive for any bowler looking for a bit of a different shape than the "hockey stick" which is becoming so common in the market.  A reliable performer, the Jagged Edge Solid will not disappoint and I recommend trying one of these if you're looking for a ball to solve those tougher lane conditions.
