The Riot Zone Tour Edition 1 combines an MTX-4 ProActive coverstock (similar to the Imperial Quantum and the Deep Violet Zone Pro coverstocks), with a low flare (Rg diff = 0.019) inverted light bulb core used in the HPD TE1 and the TE2. This combination produces a smooth arcing ball with a large, but not huge hook potential. The Riot Zone TE 1 is recommended for stronger players that like lower flaring balls but want a more aggressive cover for use on medium to heavy oil. The ball combines with the HPD TE1 and TE2 to form a three-ball set with varying coverstocks, all cast over the same low flare core.
The specifications of the Riot Zone TE1 are: Traction Characteristic: MTX-4 ProActive; Color: Purple with Gold Pearl; Surface Finish: Cerium Oxide Trizact; Rg Min: 2.592; Rg Max: 2.611; Rg Diff: 0.019.

Just like the article stated, it reminds me of an HPD polished up, gets through the heads and has a little more flip on the backend.
Good ball if you liked the HPD and all the added particle.

April 2001 update. . .
After a year I finally found one of these! The red pin is 5" out from the CG.
I put the red pin 1" above my ring finger and placed the CG 1-1/2" below my midline to the right of center(11:00 approx cg to pin). Got it to shine a bit with the white Trizac Brunswick pad. Ball goes long and has a nice arc at the back end. It has a very violent reaction when the backends are dry. You still need head oil to use this one.
