The Slingshot is a very good ball on shorter and/or conditions with less oil. I also believe it is a good ball for all different kinds of bowlers, from beginners to the more advanced. The Slingshot shot does not over hook, and allows bowlers to keep a straighter projection line down lane. If you are just learning to get the ball to hook, or would like to, I believe the Slingshot is a good ball for it. It will allow you to stay in an area you are comfortable with, without having the ball hook off the lane from the friction. Also, when the lanes start to get tough and my other equipment is too aggressive for the front part of the lane, the Slingshot will help me straighten my angles up and get to the pocket on a more consistent basis.
