Likes: Strong move off of friction and easy length on lighter conditions
Dislikes: none
The Strike King is a stronger flippier replacement for the slingshot. It has easy length and strong response to friction much like the Ringer only with less overall hook. The ball is a 3 and 1 move right off my Ringer and will allow me to play more direct when encountering drier conditions. It hooks about the same amount as my Karma Urethane with a ton more length and a much stronger move on the backend. The Strike King will also allow you to move left and play inside some once the condition is very fried. It is an incredible value at its price point. The bang for your buck doesn't get much better than this! If you are seeking a strong backend reaction on drier lane conditions the Strike King is just the ball your looking for.

Likes:I picked up one 3 days ago have bowled 8 games so far love it. First day played 3 different lines with it. The ball is worth every penny.
Dislikes:Sometimes I start leaving weak 10 pins but an change of speed or hand changes that.

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): THS, but with more outside of 10 than most.
COMMENTS
Likes: Drilled mine "Rico" because I had heard that this one was more angular. The Strike King is going to be used a ton when our fall league starts because our scratch league is second shift. By our 2nd and 3rd games there is PLENTY of friction.
What I am seeing so far is EASY length and a fairly quick response late. A nice improvement over the Slingshots due to it's ability to finish and carry well. The black pearl cover is impressive. It's 2 to 3 boards weaker than my Ringer, but that is a plus. When the lanes get "toasty" the Strike King will out perform the stronger balls, and the price makes it an outstanding value at the entry level price point!
Dislikes: If I get too deep it will "skate" but that is bowler error and not the ball.

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): THS, lighter than normal
First of all, I a stroke and play up the 10 board. I LOVE my Hy-road, but it is too much on med-light lanes I play on now. I'm looking for a ball I can play up the 10 board....
This ball is drilled with the pin up and to the slight right of the ring finger. I wanted a ball to go long and slowly make a break for the pocket. This one does. If you get a little oil, its perfect...goes long and at about 30-35 feet it makes a nice arc towards the pocket.
If you pull the ball a little left and if your lane has more oil in the middle, it will stay and possibly strike. If you pull it right, it will grab and make it back to the pocket....dont expect a strike. IT does react on dry boards.
I got the ball for around 70$ and drilled it, for the first time, with no inserts.
UPDATE: The ball is actually a bit too snappy for my taste. It does go long, and then heads North west in a hurry......
COMMENTS
Likes: Controllable ball for light-med shots.
Dislikes: Prolly reacts to dry a little stronger than I thought.....

COMMENTS
Brunswick has upgraded their entry level Reactive Resin offering with the Strike King. It is cleaner and stronger than the Slingshot which it replaced. I have mine drilled pin access and cover scuffed lightly with a 1k pad. The intent of this layout and surface prep is for use on short patterns. I was attempting to create a shape similar to that of a Urethane ball with more angle in the back to increase carry percentage and to coax a short pattern into playing longer enabling me to control the break point. The Strike King with this layout proved to be an ideal combination. I’ve also drilled many of these for customers both tournament and entry level players. The ball is very versatile and is functional for many different applications. Don’t overlook this ball if you are a tournament player, this piece will likely prove its worth frequently in the burn block or on a short pattern. In comparison to the Ringer Platinum, it is slightly longer and clearly 3-4 boards weaker.
